If you got 3 separate teams LoD spam won't be a problem at all. And yeah, organising your own team of 12 would be really interesting, but it will be hard to get 12 people together, I hear from many people that organising GvG matches already takes quite a lot of time and that's just 8. Rank matchup would be better, but the title has been screwed by fast faction runs.

It's really interesting as it is now imo. There's plenty of head on fight because there's always people trying to stall. The hardest thing about AB as it is now is not to avoid head on fights, but how to get out of sluggish endless encounters without getting cornered or otherwise hurt.

Minion masters blow in AB's yet people don't really know that. As soon as a team sees them they get 4-way gangraped by that team usually. They're sluggish as hell too.

I enjoy playing in AB, though I've found some interesting tidbits.

When I was a Kurzick, it seemed that the Luxons were the ones who always mobbed.

Now that I'm a Luxon - It seems the Kurzick's are the ones who always mobbed.

BUT maybe that's just the way it's perceived, it's rather amusing though.

I enjoy it, I have a good time going out there with guild mates and having a blast, even if we don't win.

Last night, I kept ending up in the most unforseen thing - and it's the first time that it happened, while I was at Saltspray ended up playing hide and go seek around a pillar against someone on the kurzick side, I wasn't able to get a good shot off of him, but it's all right, I was laughing the entire time, though I felt like a noob, but hey, I'm not in it to always be the best, but just to have fun.

I like how it is.

AB was the most fun when each person could bring 3 heroes. So each team had 12 for a massive 36 vs 36 battle. That was epic days.

I'd like to see a pvp arena where 50 people on each side join then just go at it. I'm hopeful for GW2 but I dunno.

I like AB a lot. Whenever I'm bored or in a bad mood I go Rt/P, bring Warmonger's Weapon, and go caster hunting.

kurzick/luxon rank means absolutely nothing. all it means is how many times a person pressed the "enter battle" button, or how much a person FFF. the fact is, me with my rank 0 kurzick can easily out perform 99.9% of rank 10s.

anyways, i play AB to practice. aside from the abyssimally low standard of play, the AB gameplay is the most similar to GvG skirmish play as you can get outside of an actual GvG.

QFT.

AB is also good for core teams to practice communication and get used to how everyone plays.

AB is fun when you mess around and don't take it serious, also if you have local on.

also suiciding and running into mobs is fun, having trains chasing you, or just turning into a normal ab player that screams for 1v1. being silly for once ftw. :P

Cripshotting in AB>all other forms of PvP. There's nothing like keeping a wammo crippled for 10 minutes.

ab is fun when the sides are even and its a bitter battle to 500 points. course its super fun when your side totaly devestates the other.. and then its fun to be totaly devestated.. sometimes, till that smite monk starts making fun of you on local.. then i get pissed, ugh.. could not pull off a kill on that guy.

A smite monk having the audacity to insult people while his skill line uttlerly sucks? It's like a turd that says you smell bad :P.

Heh, if all else fails, ask to see him kill someone faster than once per every 30 seconds. <3 gimmick builds.

Don't forget to mock the ele earth tanks and the Dolyak Signet warrior, and take screens of the really good (read: bad) stuff!

I find ABs fun, yeah. I like running around capping shrines and rolling over teams. The trash talk doesn't bother me, as I'll trash talk right back :P. If it does bother you, turn local off, imo, and welcome to the internet.

As long as AB is dependant on 2 other teams of random people I'll never like it.

3 coordinated teams of 4 would be much fun.

Fun, but it wouldnt get played HARDLY as much as it does now.

For me AB is the new RA. Since the whole anti leaver thing is lamesauce, AB is becoming my new time waster.

Here's the way I see AB. If I have 4 guildies on, I'm not thinking "Oh man, let's AB!" Usually it'll be right to TA. So to me AB is more of the lazy man PvP when there's nothing going on and I'm bored of grinding PvE.

today, me and 3 guildies went in with 3 cripshots and 1 BA ranger. absolutely hilarious shit happened. i think we made 4 or 5 opponent casters ragequit from the rain of interrupts flying everywhere.

Not really true. All you need is vent and 2 other teams that you can find inside the waiting area.

Split tactics would be the best option and you wouldn't need much coordination with the other teams to make it work well. Vent communication would be enough to coordinate anything you need.

I can see you waiting hours for 2 other teams with Ventrilo in an AB outpost. Of course ABs would be less popular if they were more organized. Once you organize them you introduce rank discrimination, generally higher skill levels, harder wins, more embarrassing losses, and lose the casual PvP aspect of ABs that so many players like it for. HA has virtually no learning curve, and not everyone has a guild that does or even can put together even the simplest GvG match. Sometimes casual, jump-in-jump-out PvP is just what you feel like doing, and the popularity of Alliance Battles is proof of that.

In short, organized ABs would be more fun for the top 10-20%, and much, much less fun for the rest.

I'd HAVE to assume you mean two separate options of joining, like in hero battles. One for organized and one for random?
