Exactly lyra, that's what no one in this thread understands. There's nothing stopping you spike-reporting someone right before a GvG, which could ruin AT chances for that guild.

I spose that's what you get when a heap of PvErs try to post about something they've never played. Sad state of affairs.

You're explaining really simply that top PvPers gameplay is more important that the average mending whammo you will ragequit gameplay. And that because of that, Dishonorable shouldn't affect top PvPers/GvGers. But, you see, the average whammo actually spent the same price for the game than you. His gameplay isn't less valuable than yours, even if he is a newb and you a silver cape wearer. His virtual life is worth the same as yours. I know this is difficult to accept.
If you don't want to have dishonor issues, only play with guildies, or :

The guys who got the donkey hat aka dishonorable hex were obviously high end pvpers who earned that status in low level arenas. Is that not funny?

That there is a 50:50 chance they get reported is BS. So guys who wanted to prevent them from GvG reported them? They knew them and found them by accident in RA or joined their AB team in order to ban them? Conspiracy theory?

This is so unlikely that you should not rule out the fact that they totally got what they deserved.

in addition to the dishonor hex, leecher's characters should also have to wake up in bed with the Burger King mascot the next morning.

or Vizier Khilbron.

and the sceptor of orr.

...and the icon on your screen should say:
Vizier khilbron is watching you, leecher.

They got what they deserved
The system is potentially abusable but i really doubt this case was abuse

The system works it kept some people that annoyed there team from PvP for a while

lol. All the new system did was encourage noobs to be what they are noobs. It used to be serious pvp'ers can enter a match and by some time till the next Ha or GvG. Maybe during that time they play serious, maybe they don't. However there are clearly players that are a waste of my time and obviously rewarding them with 5 seconds more of my when they are running healing breeze, restful breeze, Healing hands isn't someone I would choose to do. But now, I'm stuck with these noobs and better, if I leave when they are clearly wasting my time, it effects my HA or GvG. Now I consider Ra pve, so this pisses me off even more. Really there is no point in even trying to win a RA match, because the player next to you probably doesn't have a rez and you can't do nothing about it. So instead of trying to win, I do my best to lose so the matches speed up faster. That way if friends guildies come online or get ready I wouldn't be tied down to any particular match. Its the same feel as trying to win but its just funnier. I wonder why I didn't do it earlier.

If you have dishonor... you cant PvP. GOOD. Stop QQ'ing... leechers and leavers make the game suck worse than your little "OMG I cant GvG for 10 mins cause my guildie is a retard!!111" argument... As for the Dishonor system being easily abused... abusers will get banned im sure... in the end system will work out for the better. I have no doubt that anet can see where you are and who reported you when you get reported... I doubt that if say a whole guild reported someone on the other team just to beat them in an ATS (however ridiculously small a chance that is lol) that ANET couldnt see what you were doing at the time of the report and send out 8 bans to guild team who abused the system for their own gain.

For those who mention that the report function may abused by dishonoring someone before a match,

The /report function has only 5 options. Leeching, botting, spamming, abusive language and inappropriate character name.

Leeching is the only one that grants dishonor points and you can only report people in your team for leeching. Chance of grouping with a particular person in RA/AB/FA, I will say is very very low, not to mention that it will need the support of other random teammates (who can see for themselves whether someone is leeching).

The rest of the report options have nothing to do with the dishonorable system and are reviewed by anet(if they ever review them at all).

As to leaving, not too hard to stop playing arenas 5/10minutes earlier, and leaving a match only gives 5 dishonor pts.

So correct me if i am wrong, i don't see the issue.

So go to TA for your title or dont play with the noobs... going to RA and expecting skilled players is worse than the guy using HH or HB on your team, and if you want to go with somoene you "choose to do" *cough*TA*cough".
As for your time being wasted in RA... guess what, on a skilled level, RA IS A WASTE OF TIME LOL. If your trying to throw the match cause 8 mins is too long, I suggest you go outside, read a book, go for a swim, climb a tree, or anything to get back into touch with reality...

This entire system wouldn't have been as badly implimented had they just removed glad points from RA to prevent farming.

Obviously you don't GvG k.

I'm in RA because I'm bored. I've never RQ an RA match first. Only if someone else left first have I left. I can kill without a monk so I don't care. If 2 of my teammates are dead and there are no sigs left, I'm going to leave as well. If my guild calls and says "GvG time" I'm going to leave, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO RA, I'm gvging. Should I be punished for that? If you think I should be, you're a moron. Pretty much sums it up. Keep me out of RA I don't care, but do you think GvG has a leeching problem, a leaver problem? lol. You must be a pretty scrub GW player to think so.

I'm looking at the guild tags of people who are against this petition. Pretty clear none of you guys have even top500 GvG experience.

GvGs take a long time to set up, and after im ready i wouldnt mind doing some ra to kill time before the match. But when every1 is set and ready to do some AT's, Then I MUST leave to AT, or my guild forfiets match.

Leave = 5 pts
3 reports = 6 more pts.
/owned no ATs for guild

besides, This pve dishonour stuff is only meant to apply to low level RA, TA, and AB.

If in the short time you had to kill before your GvG match, you left prematurely AND you were reported 3x, I have no sympathy for you.

I do RA sometimes to kill waiting times, and sometimes I'll leave prematurely if guild needs me right away. I've never racked up enough dishonor to set off the limit though. I can't imagine how you could realistically get 10 dishonor in the short time you are "killing" while waiting to gvg. In fact, I'd think you'd almost have to TRY to get that much dishonor that quickly. If it's THAT hard for you not to get 10 dishonor points in 20 minutes, maybe RA is not for you.

Arenas shouldn't have anything to do with gvg, but it wouldn't be a problem if the report function weren't terrible.

45 seconds into your first match the wammo rages through some hexes (because you were pb'ing a monk) and gets himself killed, you chuckle to yourself inside and use your res sig. 2 Minutes later your team has wiped and your barely alive and said random wammo says you didnt bring res so /report your name the other 2 sheep in your team decide to /report you as well and bingo you have 6 dishonor points and your team lose as you say no i used my res early in the match. Trying to forget what happened you continue to play RA to practice but in order to make it to the guild hall in time for the group to be formed you have to leave your group but whoops you left RA now you have 11 dishonor and have to deal with 11 minutes of being banned from PvP. But wait whats that you cant start that AT Tourney anymore.
Sadly, you don't even need to have people report you. How about:
Player maps back to RA after the first match after it's over, but still during the countdown to return him/her to the RA outpost, after sticking it out with yet another bad team who failed to res him/her for 5 minutes. 5 pts.
Player continues to play RA. Player tells team "sorry..gvg time" and leaves RA. 5 pts. That's 10 and he/she is locked out.

It shouldn't even matter what the consequences are. The leaver could be a total jackass, but still doesn't deserve to be locked out of completely unrelated parts of the game for one offense in one area of the game where all the players already accepted the fact that the teams are random. Random means that people might bring a bad build. Random means that people might be new and not know what they're doing, even if they brought a res. It's meant to be a casual format, and this dishonor system clearly has far more impact than it should.

People leave for a variety of reasons--many of which are legitimate. How is it fair to get locked out of high-end competition for getting ISP-spiked, parent-spiked, child-spiked, phone-spiked, or any other forms of short-term RL-spikage that could cause you to have to leave a random team in the middle of a match that doesn't mean anything? Oh, the title? 5-streaks are not that hard...just go again, or just win 3 vs. 4 for a round.

And add to that the /report system? Talk about handing the asylum over to the patients! Sure, people are supposed to get punished for false reporting, but that doesn't undo any damage resulting from that false report. And for those who are encouraging people to /report those who do not res, I hope you don't get your res sig d-shotted. :P

Here is an idea to get even:

The NOOB hex
If three of your teammates stamp you with the /noob command, you will get hexed with the NOOB hex and you can't play PvP for 10 minutes and you can't play PvE for 1h.

Since mr wammo could easily shrug off the pvp penalty by going back to charr hunting, I felt it was important to temp ban him from PvE too.
