Hey i would just like to hear what ppl think of ha atm.. And what can be changed?

I Think that Skill Balance and Map fixes would be nice.
Especially Fetid and Halls, Fetid is just the most annoying map, You lag at it, Takes like a second longer to cast spells .. :/ and since its so small its so good for spirits, I would say Fix the lag ( I hear many complains about lag on it ) And Make longer, Maybe as long as Burial Mounds.
And Halls is just wow... Cap Points is redicilous since 50-70 % Of the games ppl Gank, Relic Run is just to crappy, It should Favour the one who runs fast and meh, 8 Mins of just running is to boring, Delete??
And the KotH is okey i guess, Even if i like the old altar alot better.
It just bad that you can win so early, Far to many matches u win 4 Minutes b4 the game is over, Yeah i dunno really what to say i just... I would like Fix on Fetid and maybe take Altar Holding back to halls.
AND allmost forgot ! Bring back Sacred Temples, One of the best maps.
Alot better than Capture Points actually.
Anyways, Any1 have Suggestions on Changes?

OMG i miss sacred temples.

Cap points in halls is just bad since there are three teams but only four points. OK good design on that, /end sarcasm

Relic run in halls needs to favor first to cap, not last, this will take emphasis away from the last minute of the match and really and truly the entire match will be one crazy snare this / anti-block that / OMG U MISSED INTERUPT ON WARD V FOES!!!

KoTH in halls is really fine, except for one thing
SONG OF CONCENTRATION,
change this skill to party members only plx

As for the other maps?

Underworld -> fine
Fetid -> /DELETE plx
Burial -> remove the walls into the priest area
Unholy temples -> favorite map atm
Forgotten Shrines -> at least there are more than 3 shrines for a 1v1
Golden Gates -> is this necessary? we already have fetid and burial for this
Courtyard -> SONG OF CONCENTRATION = autowin
Antechamber -> see forgotten
Sacred Temples -> I miss this map

let me guess, ranger spike?

If i remember well you still have to
a) kill the ghost
b) avoid the enemy ghost to cap
c) keep the ghost alive
d) get enough point to win.

Dont look like auto-win to me.

Personnaly i think song did good to the game.

Remember the build with 2 seeking arrow, 1 physical distraction?

Even interupting seeking arrow, sb on ghost, blinding the rangers, kd the rangers still wasnt enough to get the altar most of time.

While i miss those funny tombs days that is a thing im gladly we leaved behind (plus now there are many more interrupt who can go around blocking and spellbreaker)

Altar capping was very exciting in my opinion as it came down to the last second on those maps most of the time, I really miss that mechanic. KotH is just not the same.

If they could rework KotH (or just bring back altar cap) so that there was always a chance for a last second win I would enjoy that more, however with a 3-way map one team would prob. end up not having any chance to win which is why altar cap was so exciting. ANY team COULD win at any given time, sure luck was a factor, but having the altar with the ghost JUST about to die and there is like 10 seconds left is just the best

I don't mind the cap point map, its interesting but I also don't mind skipping it.

I don't mind Fetid river, I like that its up close like that, I haven't lagged too terribly on that map either, but I have heard about a lot of lagging. Personally I like it better than burial mounds.

I hate relic run on HoH because of the tiebreaker garbage. Either reward the faster cap, or make it so that if the game is tied after the timer runs out, the first person to run a relic after the timer expires wins.

Name a competitive arena outside of HA that song will see play in?

And where did you get rspike from?
the walls on burial only serve to help sway teams

you are right, my brain was off.
Anyway still with all the new interupts witch go throught spellbreaker nightfall and gwen introduced it might be not the best idea to remove it

Fetid river is really a bad map, cause spiritway, paraspike and rangerspike can be so much better in this map. I would say fix it or delete it.

About halls, I like the king of the hill. (I like the old altar holding more aswell though)
Relic run isn't that bad, but if you just face 2 teams that don't like you it isn't fun. (or 2 teams that like eachother)
Capture points, same thing if both teams gank you, or 1 team is just stupid it doesnt work good any more.


Bring back Sacred Temples
Delete/fix fetid
Back to old altar holding (or king of the hill only).

I would want it all back back how it was: remove the new maps, HoH back to old holding, all the old maps back that were removed. But I geuss not everyone agrees with that.

The thing is if we Just get anoter skillbalance and map fixes HA can be good again,
Cap Points and Relic runs (Relics in halls) just make normal old balanced builds so sucky, Warders are pretty much Useless now :/
Ppl Just run RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing rtard builds, Remove atleast one of the cap point maps:
Forgotten or Antechamber, And remove Cap Points and Relics in Halls.
Use KotH only , Altar Holding would be best but.. Anet dont like it? lol..
AND :: Put Sacred Temples back in again !! Sacred Temples
is Alot better than cap points, It Involves Bodyblocking/Runing/and killing.
Cap points: Running? ....
I Would say this would make it easier to run a PROPER Balanced build.
With 3 monk backline and a Warder Etc..

Diagonally reading trough all these post, I can only come to one conclusion:

Old-School holding needs to come back... (Including Map rotation, but with Cap points between Unholy - Golden Gates)

=> Can we have an official POL to get Old-School holding back? There is only very few people that like this HoH, and those people are in "Joke"-Guilds. (Won't mention any names, but we all know the guilds that hold with Rspike/Flaming thumperway all day)

Skill balance is just too bad to promote such complicated form of competitive play... With Cap points, relic run AND holding, skills need to be updated ATLEAST once a month. (Not once a year)
With old-school holding, you can get away with a every-3-month skill balance...
