Allow people to leave without penalty after the two minute mark. By then it should be obvious if you're in a hopeless match, and it will still prevent the tards who drop as soon as they see they have no monk on their team.

It would be good if folk went into the battle with the intention of fun only. But you and I know full well that we're looking for success first and fun second. So, to be safe, gamers bring farming builds and/or tanks. In turn, this "randomness" continues to make the arenas less random. lol irony?

I'm half glad that TA play is encouraged, though. I guess some patience is called for.

No, new players shouldn't be further discouraged. It's bad enough to get rofflestomped with their pve builds in RA.

I want to puke in anets mouth after the whole anti-leaver thing.

It's pretty sad when I fear for my account to rage an RA/AB match because I need to go guest for gvg.

Well, HB is just running and running capturing, and forcing players of use R/P or any other stand-alone hard to kill hero; and assassins for exploit heroes AI. Sometimes something that look like a obvious fix, end making things worst in a not expected way; that happened with HB forcing you to capture ALL shrines and DON'T fight.

HB is 99% (Assassin, R/P, Rt/N, Monk) or (Monk, R/P, R/P, R/P) // R/P can be changed by anything hard to kill by assassins, plan and simple. That isn't meta, is just a chess game when everybody play with exactly the same pieces. Please ArenaNet, make us fight in HB (making people to CREATE hundreds of different builds)

So, where is the on-topic comment here? well, the bold part above is.

GG Anet,
you changed RA forever.
Now we have 8 districts full of RAers when we had 2-3 before.
Pro RAers having nightmare teams will leave RA for TA and HA.
TA and HA will have more players than before.
RA will be left for PVEers bringing their invinci-dervish, shadow form sins, and PVE monks to fight each other.

This is one of the very many reasons I supported 1 point per win in RA. No monk teams have a chance, inexperienced people would make builds that delt damage, not abuse the timer, or their own health bar. You can't convince me for a second you do RA seriously, it was a convinient quick format of PvP. Now what is it?
So like I had said Hero Battles>RA for pure convinience now.

It takes 15 wins now to equal 10 wins before. What were you complaining about again?

I haven't read the thread, so I may be repeating other people's statements.

However,
This update is a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing joke. All it does is promoting n00bs with N/W sword builds, warriors with daggers, wammos etc. Why shouldn'r you be allowed to ragequit when one guy is afk, one didn't load, and the last one is overextending? I did, and hoped my next team would be better. I got two bad monks, and a necro "damage dealer" that didn't use his Ressurect with me being dead for 30 seconds. I raged again, and my next team got owned, so I raged, and I got banned for 10 minutes.

My point is, this update fills the arenas with n00bs with incredibly gimped bars, and I it is not tempting to give it another try, because i know what's waiting.

Gladiator change. Well it obviously easier to obtain glad points. So far i've only met nice people so I don't know if people leave at 5 consecutive... But the "meta" changed, it has become the assassin arena as said earlier in the thread.

Now we need skill adjustements. gimmick needs to die.

I think the more apparent solution would be having two different solo-entry arenas: One for people who want random teammates, to battle other random 4-man teams. And another for people who want as close to a TA experience as possible in order to improve their own skill or to avoid pure noobiness, but they just don't have guildmates/teammates online for TA or prefer the "push a button and play PvP" quick solo-entry.

How to create this other arena would have to be figured out, whether it's the game trying to match people together in a more balanced way (one monk per team, whatever), letting people leave & try going back in, etc.

seriously... u got get the dishonor status after TWO rages, and you are only disallow to enter the PvP arenas for TEN minutes..

before ppl start calling me noob/etc i am rank 5 glad, (rank 4 prior update ;P) and i think this is a good change in RA for the non-PvP experienced players to get better at the game (PvP side).

If you want a nice team, and you think you are SO pro, go to TA and i am sure you can get into any teams you like.

I still remember when i first hit RA with my warrior, i am not ashamed to admit i was one of those 'Wammos' who hav half the skill bar with healing skills and not doing enough dmg... however, after observing, losing battles, you start to change your builds and improve on the game.

i do know how furstrating to see noobs doing stupid things and costing the game in RA, for me, i just laugh at it and move on, its actually entertaining once in awhile (does happen pretty often though)... if you cant stand it, i think TA is a better home.
