Default State of the game with new skill implementations

As the thread title states this threads about the new skill changes and the overall state of the game in general. The games balance as far as skill's vs. player skills. This thread is open for discussion about skills mainly and how they effect the end game pvp.

As of right now the state of the game on the top side is stagnant according to IZZY. And the balance issues that have been implemented thus far haven't been to do much but remove a few powerful builds from the game. Whats your opinions? Does guild wars mirror matches make you sick of doing the same thing over and over and over? or would you like to see some changes to make the game more interesting? It's been said the state of the game is stagnant because you can basically look at a players primary and secondary and know 99% of the time what they are going to be bringing to the table. Should this change?

I believe it should yes. There's a little more variety from what I've seen on obs mode, but mostly it's just more of the same.

To change the stagnant situation we need buffs targeting unused skills rather than nerfs targeting the more commonly used skills.

I never make cookie-cutter builds. I always fool around with skills and try to make somthing unique. Or changing around variations of builds (like a mystic sandstorm derv spike). It makes to game fun and interesting.

That stuff doesn't work in competitive pvp. You want to use something that works and know its the best option.

It's kind of stagnant because, quite frankly, even among skills that WEREN'T blatantly overpowered, Nightfall filled in a lot of gaps in skill demand to create a lot of bars that do the role they're needed very well with drawbacks they don't care about.

There's a lot to why things are so stagnant, so the question is: What do you WANT to see more of?

More-specifically, buffing things that have fallen by the wayside, of nerfing the things that have caused them to fall out of favor. Random buffs to trash like Keystone Signet does not help, revitalizing things that clearly worked does.

Did you ever see the Keystone Signet build?

It was the only build that's ever made me not want to monk. When LoD was in fashion, Keystone cycle-humility was scary man.

Not meaning to flame, it's just you should check that build out.

Between the non-stop Humility spam and the uber Signet of Distraction, it was all kinds of stupid. Discord was the same way. Some skills should just never see the light of day. As much as I like to laugh about stuff like Stone Sheath and Balthazar's Pendulum, the devs need to focus on finding dynamic, interesting skills and buffing them back to viability, not just randomly buffing trash as if skills that no one uses are somehow detrimental to the game.

Skills that are at the bottom of the barrel are frequently there because their designs are full of fail. We don't need things that are full of fail to be viable.
