I beg your pardon? You 'stick around' to give the other side the gg they deserve, as you would expect from them.

This whole attitude of 'oh im not going to win wats the point' really get on my nerves, its for quitters/losers. I'll stay in an ab game even if my team is loosing 12-450. Show some respect to your team mates and opponent, quit whining and fight.

And as for mobbing. This really makes me laugh. Mobbing is a flawed tactic. It will only work against a team that doesnt kno how to AB. Even someone who's new to AB could work out it's not wise to fight a group 4 times bigger than you own.

Again quit whining about mobbing, think, learn, play.

The report system works fine imo. The penalties for leaving are none to harsh because sometimes, and iv'e done this, The doorbell goes, phone, you forgon your sister should have been picked up from the stables 20 mins ago...etc. When you gotta go you gotta go.

You're assuming the worst in people when you make these kinds of threads, like somewhere someone is getting off to the fact that they just left you with one less party member, but ask yourself, is one or more of the following conditions in place?

[] Is the other side mobbing?
[] Is the enemy score at least 40 points higher than your own?
[] Are your teammates all congregated on one exit/warp?
[] Are people actually capping?
[] Is there an excess of Item selling/Guild Recruiting/Shit talking/Any other activity going on aside from actually AB'ing?

If so, there's usually no reason for you to stick around, as you have already lost. Making everyone go down with the ship just because you're too stubborn to know when you're beat is bupkiss. And that 'if we just work together and believe' bit is naive to the point that it's pathetic.
This is so wrong on so many levels. If the other team is mobbing, you should stay. Mobs only win against worse mobs. Besides, if you lose, you still get points... depending on the map, sometimes 2-3x your score.

You should be punished for leaving. Don't enter if you're just going to leave, you just make the situation worse for everyone else. /resign exists for a reason.

Since the recent scoring changes, the points you get for sticking around to lose are extremely puny. Playing for points is actually an argument FOR leaving, because it means less time wasting getting those 250 consolation points and more time getting in a game that'll score a victory for 1250 or more.

Wtf mobbing is a reason to leave? If it was that great a tactic it would happen every game... the only reason the mobbing team wins is everyone is like "omg they are mobbing im leaving cos i cant get my head around a simple split tactic"
If ppl stayed and actually split and capped around the mob instead of trying to fight like idiots it wouldnt be a problem.

And 40 points?? Its not that much you know that right? You didnt mean to actually type 400 did you?

If you continue to work even if you're losing, you will end up at a better score. If you lose with 400 instead of 300 on your enemy's fortress map, that's 1200 points instead of 900. If that's not enough to keep you there, be my guest and leave. But expect that it does and should earn you dishonor points.

A bit off subject but if it takes you 5 minutes to get into a field, find an officer on the opposing side and join their side as a guest for awhile. At least, that's what I do lately and it cuts down the wait time considerably. I don't play nearly as much as I used to though.

This is exactly the attitude that you DONT want in AB. Other side mob = my win, I simply follow it once i find it and before you know it the other teams have the other ones capped as my team is capping behind the mob and your winning 6 shines to 1.
Also there is never a point at which defeat is inevitable, ive won more than a few matches where we were getting trounced at first, had less than 100 points and opponent was at 400+ and somehow we capped all the shrines cuz they got lazy and people went afk etc. There is never a point at which you should give up NEVER. If you dont agree with that then you shouldnt be in AB in the first place, and i sure as hell dont want you on my side.
Regardless of how bad your loosing, stick around you still get points even if you loose. Your only shooting yourself in the foot if you leave, and you deserve everyones disdain.

I used to AB a lot more than I do now, but there are have been several matches the team with the ragers has ended up winning. I was in an AB that it was 6v12 and the 6 won because they actually worked as a team. If someone wants to leave in an AB match, then I say let them because they probably weren't going to be useful anyway.

Report system is a failure is because you can't report those that PM cursing you. Once you type their names in, it will show "players is not in the same map as you, you can't report them...blah blah blah"

Report system is a failure because you can't resign in AB without getting 5 dishonorable points.
