Default New VoD unclarities.

Right now there's a few things unclear. So Andrew can you please straighten these things out? Thanks.

Quote:
-Victory or Death: increased the damage to 25%.
-NPCs receive an additional 5% damage bonus each minute after Victory or Death.
Do NPCs also gain the 25% damage buff at the start of VoD? The link between "playervod" and "NPC vod" was removed last balance, is it restored now? Does this mean that at 18minutes archers deal +25% damage, and at 19m +30% damage?

Quote:
Added "Victory is Ours," a new GvG feature that activates at the same time as Victory or Death, giving players on the team with the most NPCs a 15% damage increase.
How is this supposed to work? Right now it only triggers ONCE, and that is at 18minutes. If you die before 18 and you baseres you do NOT get ViO. If you die after 18 and get ressed you do NOT receive ViO, yet you do receive VoD.

Is this meant to be this way?
Is it only supposed to trigger once? Or is it an effect that constantly sways with whoever has got the most npcs.
What happens if both teams have equal NPCs at VoD, who gets ViO? Will ViO trigger at all in such a game?
What if it is supposed to swing all the time, what happens if at a moment all NPCs except the guild lord are dead? Does ViO disappear or stay with the team who had it last?
Does the Thief count as an NPC in ViO?
Pets just like the bodyguard, thief and guild lord are "allies", they show up in the partyscreen. Does this mean that the bodyguard does not count as an NPC? Or does this mean they ALL count as NPCs, meaning a team with 8pets has a huge advantage?
Do Spirits count as npcs? And undead minions?

Quote:
The Bodyguard and Guild Thief now receive a smaller damage bonus than other NPCs at Victory or Death.
How large is their damage bonus now? Numbers please. Does the +5% every minute trigger on them?

If both teams have no NPC's at 18min, both teams receive ViO. Haven't tested full/equal NPC's, but would assume the same.

It is also possible for ViO to switch sides when the other team suddenly has more NPCs than you. I distinctly remember having it at the beginning of VoD, and then losing it after we had some miscommunication about who was supposed to babysit the NPCs.

There are a few bugs with ViO and VoD right now that are going to be fixed in an update scheduled for tomorrow.

Go ahead and remove ViO in that update and keep the new VoD changes to see how they play out. I don't remember anyone asking for +15% dmg for whoever has more npcs, only that they spread out at the stand.

You corrected the 2nd part (I think) and for some reason you decided to add something else that brings more problems with it.

Yes, remove the ViO crap already instead of wasting more time and effort trying to make this shit mechanic work.

The bug fixes for ViO and VoD were delayed to allow more time for internal testing and should go live next week. I will follow up with any more information as it is made available to me.

I hope that means you're reverting the vod changes until you can fix the bugs.

Seriously just get rid of VIO and leave the rest until it's all sorted out...

I think it would help to clarify in the update notes when the new build is up about how exactly VoD and ViO will work.

There's always that extremely thin ray of hope that they'll read and think "ow, we can avoid leaving bugs on the game! Great idea"

I asked Isaiah, and he says we cannot remove the ViO feature prior to next week's live build. I have shared your concerns and will continue to pass on any reports of bugs or issues you post as well as your general feedback to the ViO feature and the VoD changes.

I am sorry I don't have better news to share.

Kinda sad when "better news" would mean the removal of a feature..

On a much more specific note;
bug fixes: so eventually VIO will still continue to be affected by the team who received the bonus in the first place, as part of the bug fix correct?

What else is on the agenda besides the bug not triggering on VIO? Clearly the dmg bonus is a tad much and one sided coupled with the increased over time dmg bonus relating to left over NPC's.

Andrew I think we all appreciate the attention and pretty quick comments relayed back to the community, but is there a possibility we could get some concrete info on what is actually in plan from Izzy and CO about the upcoming changes concerning VOD...

The idea of ViO is to prevent splinterfarming. Or well, not to prevent it, but to make it so that the team who made effort BEFORE VoD, gets bonus, not the one who is fastest splinterfarmer and best NPC baller. So I don't even consider it as bug. But the fact that you don't get it if you baseres in the 18 minutes, or die after getting the shout is bugged.

How many Gvg's have you played since the update, the effort required to farm npc's with a bunch of splittable, adaptable characters pre vod is a joke. Roll up some better mobile templates with either teleports or mass damage degen and keep running around the map, much talent there. By the time VOD hits you can sit there and dance, tip your cap, threaten a lone guild lord with your split and prevent ancestors/splinter farming while your mass npc's await at the stand. That was a viable tactic before vod was butchered into what it is currently. Even more power to it now.

Just roll up some byob that's what gvg has become.
