Default Skills of the Ghostly Hero

I don't really like the distracting skills on the ghost (Disrupting Chop and Distracting Shot), because your team can get interrupted by something that isn't even a player, of course this is also possible with heroes, though that costs a team slot.

I would really like this 2 skills to be removed in Heroes Ascent on the Ghostly Hero, how many times the ghost spammed d-shot on you (or your teammate) and disabled something really important? Often I hear on vent something got interrupted because of the ghost.

I know allot of people don't like the ghost having these 2 skills, some maybe just say don't qq and just get over it. It is not such a big deal, but it would be a nice small update.

I want to know how the rest of you thinks of this.

maybe his reaction time should be toned down a bit though, dshotting 1/4 casts happens a bit much.

It seems just yesterday that (And I remember this clearly) a Ghostly Dchopped my LoD, 1 second later D-shots my Orison and a mere 7 seconds later d-shots my dwayna's kiss. Ow yeah, did I mention ALL of them were fast cast? (I still don't know HOW he got Orison 1/2 with dchop)

Yes, we party whiped. Was the other team good? Nope, because all the above-mentioned bs happened in the first 10 seconds of the match. (I used LoD because we faced flaming thumperway btw)

But meh, HA has got bigger issues. (How about reviving it first, AND THEN work on that problem?)

HA does have bigger issues yes, but that doesn't mean issues that are not that big should be ignored.

No, I fully agree with you. These random Dshot and chopps often (more than enough anyways) lead to unfair advantage/disadvantage.

But There is NO point fixing them for the 10 people still playing HA... (By the time they do so)

We're talking about TEH Ghostly Hero here. The one that Dshots ANOTHER Ghostly Hero's "Claim Resource", followed by capping himself...

One shouldn't even HAVE to waste the energy on blocking/blinding the Ghostly Hero. He should merely be a "support" character that occasionally does a 100Dmg+ hit, and "watches" whilst you take him to the HoH...

Not a lottery ticket that can get you Victory if you're lucky o.0

You're naive if you think dshot or chop is going to decide a game.

The ghost has been this way for quite some time and I think you're the first I've heard complain.

O NOES CHANNELING/DA/MIND BLAST got interrupted. (try running something other than legoway) It's not the end of the world just because your super defensive euro gvg inspired build got dented for 20 seconds. If you're close enough in range to the ghost to get d chopped, you should reconsider your positioning.

Not to start a flame fest but this is kind of a thoughtless, random idea imo. Not much is going to improve by changing 2 skills on an npc who randomly targets people and can't even run out of aoe. =\

I think a dshot can mean much in a game yes, that doesn't mean it decided the game. Also I have hear more people complain about it, but not hard complaining, they just say they dont like it much.

Considering position because ghost? that is weird since the ghost is most of the time in the enemy team, hard/not always possible to get to an other position were he can't do anything.

Turai Ossa is the most skilled interrupter in HA. True story.

Seriously, the only problem with the ghost's dshot is that it always lands at the most inopportune time. It's as if the devs somehow managed to implement Murphy's Law into this particular aspect of the game.

It's annoying, but if I had to take a guess, they added it so that the best team doesn't always win and there's a randomness factor. A team with a lower chance of winning may still win if their ghostly catches a critical channeling or WoH.

Really HA is done, the problem is there is absolutly no incentive to play the format, and anet ignore it more than anything else in the game. I think they try to pretend its not there because they made so many mistakes with it.

Give people some incentive to play and it will start to improve with the influx of new people. But really the meta will stay stuck where it is until you get a large influx of new players that get tired of losing to ---way and design a counterbuild.

the ghostly dis shot is legendary and i like it being in HA it can work for you not just against you, adds some random element that you need to pull yourself through. altho i think it shouldnt be allowed to interupt other claim reasources (tho i havent witness'd this ever but wont argue it cant happen)

its annoying if it can lose you a match (which it can if it hits channeling while you're trying to tank an alter) BUT i think its worth keeping in because its amusing and just part of the history of HA.

getting dischopped by a ghostly is bad positioning tho.

The Ghostly Heroes D-Shot is legendary, as the poster above me just said. It's a part of the game, and just because it annoys you is not grounds to have it removed from the game. I remember one time in particular, my team lost a 1v1 King of the Hill match because the opposing Ghost d-shotted my Burning Arrow four times in a row, despite a significant amount of team wide blocking. There was nothing we could do; our build was crippled by the loss of damage on the spike, especially versus a team playing defensively in an alter holding situation. Sure, I was upset at first, but we all had a good laugh about it and weren't too worried, since it's just part of the game.

Learn to deal with an opposing Ghostly Hero and q.q less.

dshots can easily make or break plays, especially with players that can take advantage of situations.

Dshot/dchop on the ghostly is retarded and I have never understand why it was there, unless it's Divine's theory that they're deliberately making HA a less ideal atmosphere for competitive play to give less-skilled players a chance.

/agree

Ghostly's dshots rarely affect the outcome, but rarely isn't the same as never. It adds a certain amount of luck that shouldn't be there. Kill the interrupts and give him some stupid damage skill, imho.

His interupts are part of the joke that is HA. Removing them would also make ha more easy since he is the best player in most current HA teams.

Remember, the Ghostly Hero used to use Cyclone Axe with a sword a while back, so hacking and warping the balance of the game is nothing new for him.
