Default Hidden Caltrops

So the majority of the GW population probably thinks that this is a waste of an elite. However, I have found some benefits of this skill. The most important feature is that once you have this on you, you're going to be crippled no matter what (with one exception). This is because if waited out, cripple+damage will occur, if removed by say Remove Hex, cripple and damage will occur. The one exception is CoP in which Hex and Cripple are simultaneously removed. I have also found that this has some spike capabilities with many skills, most notably Spear attacks such as Harrier's Toss.

So is this skill any good? Discuss.

Btw, Hi Pepto

It's random...

You can't control when they move, yeah, it would be nice to have it as "snare" for your warrior, but you might as well take an instagib assassin and run split builds... (Lol, srry, it just HAD to be said )

But no rly, this is a useless skill, and at MOST it will be used in an unranked (HA anyways) test-spike which will fail miserably...

If you take it on your warrior, it's baed.

If you take it on other char for movement control, Cripshot is way better.

This is a TA point of view: it works well with Harrier but then what kind of team build you're gonna run? Remember, it has Shadow Art attribute so if you want to get the best out of it for a spike, you'll have invest quite a lot points into Shadow. To a lesser extent, you can view this skill like SV.

I tried to run it with shameful fear and other kiting-punishing skills on my sin but the result is not very good, maybe it's just me.

Siphon Speed isn't an elite, so why is Hidden Caltrops?

Because Siphon Speed is a simple hex. You cast it for a IMS/DMS. Easy as hell to remove. With Hidden Caltrops, your opponent, regardless if it is removed or not, will cripple and throw damage. CoP is the only thing that can bypass that. Siphon Speed is just a simple snare. Nothing more. DUH!!!
