a fantastic warrior who pressures well makes everything else work. warrior pressure is both defense and offense its amazing it causes your mesmer to double its efficiency, lets your monks push to a break point but you win first, collapses enemy midline strength.

a brilliant warrior is what i'd choose - makes my job easier ^^

I'd have to say a general strategy caller (any profession as long as they aren't too busy doing their job to not know whats going on with the bigger picture).

Just cause you got a talented Ranger or Warrior or Mesmer or monk != win

Strategy is what wins GvG.

having good monks is key however if you don't have a good caller your team is in trouble. Yes i know the monks keep you alive but if no1 kills anything your not going to go anywhere Q.Q

even if you had the best monks with lightning quick reflexes and never gets caught by diversion/etc... your team will fail without a good strat caller to call when to fall back when to push forward... send for a split

you done need a really talented monk to win GvG... as long as everyone else is doing their jobs (crippling warriors, flaggers, blinding on spikes, snaring, pressuring the backline/frontline etc.). If everyone on your team is doin this... you could have a team full of half decent players to win GvG's ... not like super high rank matches but you get my drift.

In my experience frontline 1 is the spike caller, with frontline 2 as strats. I mean, it's not the most original way, but it's straightforward and reliable organization-wise.

Monks often call tactics in a backwards sort of way, since they need to communicate when the pressure is too high and when the team needs to fall back (or die a horrible death.) But as for calling splits and such? Well I certainly wouldn't want to have to micromanage the whole team while infusing, though I know there are those that do. And it always impresses me when someone can do both at once...

Negative. Depends on what part of your build that player is running and how crucial they are to your build's overall success when they get disconnected.

Otherwise, in a balanced or balanced spike, every character plays an approximately equally important role to the team.
