Default AB mapping

I have had factions for a week or so and I have been playing a lot of ab and i mean a lot, i would say 90% of the time. Yet i have played only 2 maps, Etnaran keys and Grenz Frontier. what is the mapping scheme because the only time i have played and the maps have changed they just go back and forth between the two. WHat are the order of the maps. I want to play something different!

Saltspray beach is probably the rarest map to come up. Grenz and Etnaran are the most common.

The Reason you see grenz and keys the most. The map goes back and forth in 3 hour segments from canyon to lands or lands to canyon however you wana see it. It takes 1 three hour segment to get from beach to keys. However it takes 3 three hour segments to get from keys to canyon. Same for grenz to lands. I am not sure it is 3 three hours. It might only be 2. However that is atleast twice as long as it is on any map. Aslo due to the fact when coming from canyon or lands it goes back to keys and grenz rather then skipping them. So you then have another 3 three hour segments on those maps(or 2 I don't really remember.)

It was Kanaai for a long time on Friday.

Personally, I think they should shorten the time spent on one map (to two hours, maybe) because I'm tired of being on insert-map-here for nine hours straight, whether it's Kanaai (lots of losses for me as a Kurzick) or Ancestral (boring, easy wins, long waiting times, no real challenge). Also, make it stay on Saltspray longer than a single turn :/. Balanced maps are FTW.

Saltspray is easily my fav. map. I play as Kurz and still love it. Never any long wait times, looks cool, has dragons, and very balanced.

I vote more Saltspray.

The AB map is determined by where the luxon/kurzick border lies on the main Cantha map. As the line pushes further into Kurzick territory, the map changes from Saltspray to Grenz to the Ancestral Lands. Conversely, when the border moves deeper into Luxon territory the map changes to Etnaran and finally to Kaanai Canyon. From what I understand, the map switched to Saltspray Beach when the border line runs between Unwaking Waters (Kurzick), and Harvest Temple (ie. The Luxons control Harvest Temple).

As far as I know the border moves depending on how much faction is donated? Which would lead me to believe that when the map is in Kaanai, all the good Luxon players come out because it's an easy win...they play until they push the map back to the Ancestral Lands, at which point, all the good Kurzick players realise the potential for an easy win so they come back and begin to push the map back to wards Kaanai.

@ OP: Just hang on in there and keep an eye on where the map is...if you find it's switched to a new area you want to try out, form a group.

I see more people ab whe the map is the ancestral lands on the luxon side, because it gives more points than fff in the same time

Yep, as Luxon I love the Ancestral Lands. You even get a decent amount when you lose, so long as the Kurzicks don't completely hand you your ass back on a plate. I was so happy when the map remained Ancestral Lands for most of Sunday. Farming Kurzicks is great - and how can anyone resist at 5000 faction per win? (Just a shame double faction wont last forever )

Which is ironic, because before the momentum bonus, Saltspray was the map up something like 80% of the friggin time and I got very sick of it...

Now I miss it cause as you said, it's the rarest now.

Saltspray is a map I wish would go away. It brings out the worst in the players. The entire map design makes it tedious to split around massive zergs that run straight across the center and steamroll all of the lemmings in their way
