Default Stories of the Battles

I was just wondering. I just attained savior title and now I look back on my days of ab, I really did have a good time. Met so many people and so many good times. Met new friends, left old friends. And the most important thing I'll carry on will be the funny stories of AB. I have so many but I just want you guys to tell yours and really share the fun of AB to us. Because it's more than just CAP CAP CAP1!, but it's also about having fun.

I remember being on Vent at the time. I was with my friends. zb monk, eviserate warrior, mind blast nuker and I was the shadow prison assassin. We were in ancestrals(We're Luxon), and we were camping the 2 equipment shrines. We were just owning the kurzicks that went out of the teleporters and we'd just sit in front of there base. Well....one of the kurzicks jump out and tries to attack our warrior. I remember the my friend playing the warrior said,"oooo this guy fails so bad, ima get him." He starts beating on him and the kurzick backs slowly into the base defender. Finally the base defender gets my friend and he says over vent," O my g*d! I fail so bad." We all started busting out, laughing. But suddenly, an assassin runs up and just teleports on my warrior friend's body and gets instantlly killed by the base defender. It just so happens he was A/N with consume corpse and he seemed to "accidently" consume corpse. We all busted out laughing and we were crying. I still laugh at that moment because the vent channel was just full of us crying and laughing. A fine example of the intelligence lvl of AB.

An AB moment I'll tell my grandkids...

goes like so...

I was fighting in Kanaai Canyon. As a Steward of the Kurzicks this is one of my favourite maps, as I find it the most rewarding and challenging. I play W/E mostly with a sickeningly high dps. Good times.

Anyway me and my pug have just broken into the luxon base. Due to the ill timed nature said break in 75% of us never made it all the way in. Being sure to keep the npcs out of my aggro range I take a moment to regen and asses the situation. My train of thought however was interrupted by a monk, who'd respawned in the base. This monk comes legging it down the stairs looking for a fight.

Not being one to disappoint, I oblige. I can usually down a monk if he doesn't know what he's doing. This one however did. So there we were, at it like cat and dog for what must have been a minute. Neither of us gaining an inch, neither one backing down.

Then it happened...

I suddenly lost the urge to kill him. My usual bloodlust subsided and I fealt a sense of calm wash over me like a healing breeze.(or an orizon of healing)
But this is the bit that makes the story worth hearing. It seems my divinely favoured assailant also experienced the same thing.

So there we stood. Warrior and Monk, Kurzick and Luxon. Like we wern't in a war, more like old friends. I type /wave, he returns the gesture and we part ways. Everything seemed right with the world. For once it all made sense.

So I turned my back and ran arms flailing from fort Luxon to join a passing band of Kurzicks to continue the slaughter. I think we won the match y'kno. But I'll never forget my run in with that monk. I just made me think...

maybe there can be peace. No?

One of my teammates ran [skill]Glyph of Renewal[/skill][skill]Iron Mist[/skill]

The entire rest of the team wouldn't stop attacking a perma-misted Assassin on the rez shrine ramp while the other team capped the other six shrines.

I left. That's my AB moment.

Sounded like the time I added a monk in our team, as soon as the gates would open he would start summoning minions, and I died horrendously by the hands of an assassin that popped out of nowhere. I never leave a battle but that time was an exception.

tehe, my favorite thing to do is make characters with exotic names i.e. ich esse kuhe(i eat cows) and name my pet kuhe, and run around with an online translator and say stuff in german. that is the gyst of my short attention span.

i do like to listen to the convos b/w the kurzicks and the luxons, and how people personify how much they dont have a life. that's always entertaining

oh, and what coif said. i also like standing infront of monks who know my assassin's name and dance in front of them, other sins run up, i kill them, continue dancing. same thing with every class(except otehr monks, which i also laughed and /dance at too) until i got bored, and got something to drink. then we won 500-499. good times

So the story goes it was Ancestral Lands (I am a luxon) and we had capped all the shrines accept the one on the bridge. All the kurzicks where there and all the luxons where on the outside. Pretty much a stalemate since we weren't able to take the shrine.

However, there was one 55 monk kurzick. Who I kept using Vamp Gaze on (steals 57 health). So after killing him 8 or 9 times he starts to complain that If I was a melee class I couldn't do anything to him. So the next time I let him put all his enchantments on and once he did I used Rend enchantments on him and then wanded him to death.

Good times.

AB always has moments that make you laugh, since half of the people run really funny builds. For instance, a[skill]Illusionary Weaponry[/skill]+[skill]Conjure Phantasm[/skill] Ranger. And the ever-popular Wammo. Anyways..

The map was The Ancestral Lands(I'm Kurzick) and I was with my "core" AB team(All four of us work very well together). The Luxons had mobbed and were moving around the map counter-clockwise and we were down a good 150 points and things did not look good. So, after taking the shrine between the two res shrines, we stood on the bridge and turned to face the attacking mob. 4 of us, 12 of them. We held them off for the rest of the match, not suffering one death and they gained no ground, and we killed countless numbers of them. I have no idea how it happened, but it was amazing. We ended up winning the match by capping all the shrines, since as we held them the other teams took the remaining shrines and eventually hit the mob from behind.

They could have just walked away, but didn't. I think my team consisted of 1 monk, 2 Eles(1 Unsteady/Ward, 1 A-promise nuke), and an Aura of Displacement sin. The luxons also had no monks, which contributed to the easy kill of them.

Few days ago, I had just gotten into an AB and was standing in the teleporter waiting for the countdown to end. A fellow Kurzick said, into Local chat,

"RESIGN SPIKE IN 3, 2, 1!

Whole team resigned. All 11 of them except me, until I realized I was the last one and resigned 20 seconds later. I guess I was the only one who missed that memo. There were no leavers, no obvious leechers. The match hadn't even started yet, it was hilarious.

Happened to me too the other day. And yes, we /resigned out too. 8v12 are not favorable conditions, so why drag it out?

hmm once i was on my sin playing on the kurz side cause i needed faction to get into HzH, anyways i was a r5 luxon right then i ran across a luxon trapper trapping the portals, and i sat there and waved to him and then sat down and let him run right on by me to keep trapping the portals, it was fun^^

many other stories.. hmm this morning was following the ele in our group as we procedded to run with a group of kurz, not attacking them or anything, we were all just running together in a lux/kurz mob... none of us were really sure what was going on right then, but it was fun as we ran rightinto the middle of another goup of kurz.

I've been in a AB in which both teams scored over 500 less than a second before the game ended. Of course, only 1 team won: the winning side relieved, the losing side, pissed.

I am a Luxon player who needed some Kurzick faction to get into HzH. So I get a guest invite, head over to the current map, and join a PuG. The party leader was a headstrong Warrior who played well enough that we could win enough for me to reach 10,000. Later that night, I ABed with some of my guildmates, of course on the Luxon side. It turns out my Kurzick party leader was in the same fight, and I actually killed him in combat.

There's my story. I thought it was funny.
