play the bar first.

only way i've been able to lock hc out of play is rend + humility lock, which is kinda clumsy.

edit:

To add something ontopic, I liked the w-r-n-m template, it was able to deal with most gimmicks. Only dual migraine was itchy but if you knew it was comming you could take a 2nd purge on the mo and beat the team. At the moment I just want to see HC go and see where the arena goes to.

Hi. My name is Healers Covenant and i recharge in 5 seconds. I like to bring on my bar Patient Spirit and Vigorous Spirit, so i can even be covered. Also, my energy managment is so strong that i don't even have to swap set to get rid of edenial.

bhav, you should stop pretending u know what you're talking about, cuz after making such statement u apparently dont know what its going on at all...

at june, as i already said, hc is normally used in either 2 melee+ranger teams or 2 monk teams and considering u cant shut down the 2 melee with ur nec for long due to spotless mind AND that the monk normally has 2 warr stances it is often the case you drop before they will - i mean, how long can u stand up vs 2 clean melees, especially with the new guardian..?

What june meant to say is that he likes to outshine these gimmick players on every area, by surviving several minutes to 2 clean melees, and then pressuring out the HC and the smiter.

It's still way too much effort to beat a bunch of button bashing lamers though.

Well I have just tried leet ranger with prepared shot, deb shot and 16 at marksmanship and it works fairly well vs HC (-3 pips of e degen = no energy for HC at all) So imo guardian ZB is still ftw.

I'd like the idea of changing the map specifics that favor the *Balanced* builds as someone suggested earlier. I wouldn't know how this could be implemented but for example there could be a map that is completely unsuitable for Shove Spike teams. I don't know how many of you have played The Deep but there is an area where after a certain length of time you get teleported to a nearby enemy. If they add a clause such as *Whilst Running* if a Shove spike team was on the run around the map after a Spike, one of them could end up at the other teams feet. Thats a basic idea it could be anything along those lines and maybe someone has a better idea.

A similar idea could be implemented against spam builds also, such as the HC Build/Touchers etc. An environmental affect that causes loss of energy/exhaustion. Of course this would happen to players who are not spamming skill too just not as severe.

Yeah, unlikely it will but I thought the purpose of this topic was to throw ideas around. Where these effect are already implemented is nothing to do with it. Unfortunately you have failed to divulge in why you don't like the idea, which would promote a healthy discussion rather than simply dismissal. lets take, for example, the spores map - the effect wont do much, if any, harm to a HC monk, but it can be devastating for a normal monk or any other caster.
to me it seems u're using a pve-oriented view on how to fix pvp issues :\
try throwing CONSTRUCTIVE ideas around - how to fix skills, not maps.

already said why i dont like the idea - because implementing some random pve-effects cannot fix a build issue. also, it can prove highly disadvantageous in wise kiting - when u are being over pressured and need to pullback (referring to the suggestion to implement a deep-like effect).

Firstly the ideas are not cast iron, set in stone beliefs that this will improve TA, I said "Something ALONG those lines" using The Deep scenario as an example, of course rather than look at what I actually state all thats going through your mind is PvE, PvE, PvE lets get another PvE dig in there somewhere. Do I need to catalogue all my PvP experience on here for YOU before I ever post something? No I don't.

Secondly, just because YOU don't like an idea doesn't mean it's not constructive and how is nerfing every skill you don't like constructive in the first place?

If you really want to look like a big man, then do it to someone in front of you NOT on the net. Looking back through everything you have posted NOTHING has been constructive on here. All you have done is been rude about other peoples idea's. Apart from your little buddies.

Once again you fail to read a post, how do you get by reading a skill description? Then make judgements on what you think needs nerfing. Maybe you should get a relation or someone near you to read this post out loud so you can get a grasp of what my post says.

Ok so here's a challenge for you, in the next post you write I want you to think long and hard about what you're going to say. Maybe throw in some of your famous "leetspeak" to spice it up a bit, also you can make references to me playing PvE as well as PvP...what a crime against humanity. You should use the word CONSTRUCTIVE in capital letters atleast twice. Bring up the HC Monk 3-4 times in two sentences. Try to use your strictly academic attempts at patronising five times.

Above all, be original.

I'll stay with the wheel reference since I like it.

Get what? You posted your idea and I think its bad. Area effects are boring and would be nothing more than a band aid around the actual problem(skill balance). Who the hell wants to get teleported to the enemy in PvP(hell I think it's dumb in PvE too)? I want to fight with the other team, not with the game world.

Your entire post was pretty much dedicated to the whole world effects idea, so don't say that it was just an example lol.

If you take your head out of your own ass long enough to actually grasp the concept of her post, you would know that it's an "Example" she was sugjesting an environmental effects that would be beneficial against Gimmicks. that doesn't mean it will have to be being telepoted to your nearest opponent you dumb ass.

And as for a good decent player, using the terrain effects can give you a devestating advantage, not all matches are won by builds.
