Default What do you think was the most overpowered build

What do you think was the most overpowered build before its nerf. Just to name a few i remember were V.I.M old school iway, thumper/para holding, original rit spike, and the 8 man derv using c.o.p at faction preview event. Which build do you think was most overpowered in HA history? Imo it was the 8-man avatar of balthzar spamming enchantment and using contemplation of purity at the faction preview weekend, it was extremely over powered, with extreme amount of pressure and good heals. The Spearmen had a good weekend that week^^

Sand shards, freaking seeing 8 x 25 per second ... and with the old altar camping, holding halls was a breeze (just kill the ghost)

Easy answer: Signet of Ghostly Might build when it first came out.

Insta kill in 10 seconds? No way to remove it? Talk about unbalanced.

Signet of ghostly might was never overpowered, it was bugged (it was never meant to work on players but it did) so it doesn't really count.

And I also say the old ranger spirit spam, that was just unbeatable. And then, there were no easy ways to kill spirits and spam interrupts as there are now.

Didnt EoE work on spirits back then? I remember always taking something to deal with the spirits that they used to body block.

And I lol'ed at faction release meeting some players wanting to bring back the old tactics, trying to block with spirits on sacred temples was win.

Ranger spirit spam was crazy.

I honestly think that smite teams were about as overpowered. Ether renewal for infinite energy and health (I used to spam spells through backfire and gain health still LOL), ZF for fairly good fire damage, and instantly recharging draw conditions on the warrior to break ZF and instantly destroy everything, especially ranger spirits.

Ranger spirit spam.

Though renewal smite and sand shards were pretty bad too. Sand shards was so much fun, as at that time smiteball spikes were still popular, and there was nothing more fun than running into a smiteball with 4 sands shards eles and instagibbing their entire team.

What exactly was this Ranger Spirit Spam? I guess it consisted of R/Rt's with Rituatist spirits that renewed them with Oath Shot? If this is the case, what were the nerfs to it (I don't see why it wouldn't work anymore)?

Sorry, should've started playing HA one year ago .

Dual, triple copies of the same spirits at the same time pre-Factions. Obviously now, only one copy of any spirit can exist at any one time.

Rangers with oath shot way back in prophecies when you could have infinite numbers of spirits in the same area. Also, spirits were way stronger, especially NR, which removed all enchants when it was put up (IIRC). So basically, the rangers would just spam a wall of spirits that was impossible to break through.

Not to mention pathetic. Heh still miss the "KD/AS LFG rank 5"'s.

Anyway there still are some VERY stupid game mechanics that should never been implemented, not gonna mention them for that I'm not using my anti flame suit...

Few things were as broken as old spirit spam, ether renewal, or sand shards.

I'd say Parahold was easily the one that sucked the most fun out of the game.

108-5 anyone?

There have been some overpowered builds, but I don't think anything matches IWAY before the nerfs and run by competent players.

Spirit Spam was so incredibly overpowered. I remember I was in a spiritspam team once, and we held our own against 2 teams! That was fun.
