A crit with an Axe, with 14 weapon mastery and a Vampiric/Elemental/Zealous is still not quite high enough to trigger Spirit Bond, iirc.

advalorem made a good point.

surely, it won't mitigate any of your DPS if you keep hitting. But then again, if you only swap targets to spike, any not completely retarded monk will catch them.
I'm not saying you have to go run half a marathon to your next target every 2 hits cause indeed, that'd damage your performance way more than having a predictable spike. But swapping targets for no apparent reason at all is ok as long as they're not miles apart.

Btw, JR, pro picture ^^

Unless he doesn't hit c-space all the time. I remember Chiizu hitting three different targets around him, while in frenzy, with no delay, and moving forward. What some warriors don't get is that your own positioning and movement matters in your ability to apply pressure.

It's called drawing out a monks resources(energy). Be your own judge, but continuing to whack on protted targets just lets monks regen the e they've just spent to protect a target. Making monks prot more is always good.

The whole point was that Spirit Bond doesn't do anything to prot the target, unless you are a hammer warrior. So you can just keep hitting him a little longer until a more useful prot is casted. Making him waste even more energy.

u can't say one situation will match another, when a war switches after SB is applied doesnt mean its cuz SB is applied, it cud easily mean the war jus wants to pressure a diff target... quick switchin has always been one of the best strats in gw to me. besides also matters alot on team build. if u got other constant pressure (second war/ranger/para) then switching on to another target with secondary pressure works well. AND dont forget switchin off a monk and then goin bck to spike it with a shatter while SB is still there works ~~
o and mystic > kaon.

edit: nd i totally agree on ppl not always playing their best. u cnt expect anyone to be able to play their best always. and there are always outside factors such as lag/graphics lag etc. so presuming someone sucks from what u see on observer doesn't really put u in a situation to judge someone. if u play with some1 a few times and they rly do suck, then dnt play with them and say they suck!

Yes, exactly. When you draw big prots, that monk just lost 10 energy, which means you are that much closer to a pressure kill. When you see a spirit bond go up, it's a good time to switch targets and unload, or at least switch to bulls/frenzy.

I'd only swing through spirit bond if the target is kd or snared tbh.

And yeah, I'm one of those bad warriors the OP is talking about.

and while a warrior individually might not be the best around it's also important how long the team has grown together.

If purely based on the skills of a single player there might be better players available but if the team is used to that one's play style the team will most likely be better with a "worse" warrior; a single player doesn't win a game, a team does.
