Like I said, it comes down to a number of tactics, it's sort of a hybrid of relic run and shrine capping.

I believe it has untapped potential as a team format. Obviously, letting random people join in does not accomplish this. The goal isn't to make the zone not dead either, the goal is to have a few rounds of fun.

Yes.

The jade carriers are basically Aspenwood siege turtles without the BFG.

I've seen a number of theories. Obviously the prevailing reason right now is "nobody plays it because nobody plays it." Aspenwood is a good deal more intuitive to play at least, the action tends to be concentrated in a few places which makes it a bit more exciting.

Think there's enough interest, I'm just contemplating how to keep the date/time under wraps. :P

Why does it need to be keep under wraps? Hell, more people the better right?

I really don't think you've been paying attention to the entire concept here.

Published time = Word spreads = Randoms show up to "participate" = Attempt to have purely premade teams on both sides fails = Event fails.

add jade quarry map to GvG as an option to scrimmage on that map with random team-side placement, be it kurzick or luxon since you want to go as far as calling it an event with premade teams. that way, people who still randomly check jade quarry for activity won't be too dissappointed. this shouldn't be too hard for arenanet to tweak, and could even throw in fort aspenwood as a consulation prize.

I'll agree with you in that respect. I think that random people can come together as a team to help each other, but not when they player-base is so low that too many people that go in there have no clue what they're doing.

Edit: Are you providing the builds for each team to use in the arena?

I can bring along a few guild members as well more than likely, I think this would be fun. Would this include time before the match to discuss builds and strategies etc

No. Teams can use whatever they want/decide to use.

Still trying to figure out exactly how to format the event. I do want planning breaks if possible, though I'd like more to at least get the initial rosters figured out in advance so preparations can be made.

Once I get the format all figured out, I'll be posting a new thread with details.

It could be fun if I have no other possibilities for team-based play and RA isn't appealing at the moment. Otherwise, AB is much more fun and you get more faction, too.

There isn't enough interest to make Jade an organized event, imo. Just pug gvg if you want to go that far.

Managed to play a game just a few minutes ago. Kurzicks lost bad on account of having two trappers and one pure runner. It ended 10-1.
