You would if nobody wants to capture the ranger shrines (which is the easiest to cap IMHO). Those icky sins I'm teamed up with are full of nonsense to date. They rather chase down some stupid shadow form ele/assassin rather than finish the cap.

I usually play a nuker-fire ele when playing AB. My tactics for these is to walk around and cap the outside, while shooting down the wall guards whenever I have a chance to. I will also break down the gates with barrels whenever I can (although I won't rush the fort, I'll just try to keep all gates open).

If we're pretty much ahead on capping the exterior shrines (i.e. we hold all exterior shrines except one), I'll try to lead my group inside the fort. At that point, I should have at least two gates open and cleared. That way it's easy-in, easy-out. The shrines in there don't take much more effort than regular shrines apart from the fact that there's a possibility that someone will spawn on your face. It makes it nearly impossible to solocap, but no big of a challenge for a 4-man group.

Had a lot of fun today with 2 oath shot trappers and a fire ele to defend the bridge. I usually don't touch the fort inside too much, it's rather easy to get in, getting out however usually turns out hairy. Keeping the bridge clean so kurzicks could res in peace helped a reat deal. The dead kurzicks that spawned were automatically helping to defend the shrines that were already heavily fortified with traps and spirits.

Seriously what's the trouble with the inside? get a good monk and plenty of dmg you can stay there so long in 4v8. (ZB/Divine Spirit, dont forget your highset)

The main problem is wiping out the base guardians, not really holding the base. Most of the time when you're forced out, you're not being forced out from the inside spawning point, but from the outside.

As an attacker, the inside is not just for the shrines, but its for the mobs that you draw. While you are holding the mob, you allies can (hopefull) cap everything outside and you win. If there arent any, finish capping and get out of there quickly.

You shouldnt bother with the inside shrines unless you have a monk to back you up, and you are confident that you can take the shrines quickly. As a mm though, your main job is the get inside, jam the base with minions and hold as long as possible.

Also, leave using the portals !! Don't stuck at the gate, the portals are there for a reason...

Yeah but its reasonable to believe that your allies probably aren't capping so staying in the base isn't really a good idea unless the other side is throwing their lives away.
