Default New Maps for HA?

Saw the rumor on Isaiah Cartwright's wiki talk page.

I don't play HA anymore, still it is nice to know anet is making some effort.

good to know that izzy wants to VoDway HA because he has no understanding of how SWAY works.

also, these new maps seem to be filled with narrow corridoors which in do doubt will promote mass AoE even more

Get rid of Fetid and the cap point maps. Bring back Sacred Temples, Broken Tower (make this King of the Hill or old school altar cap) and bring back Scarred Earth (without the lever) as the second map in the rotation as it would probably weed out the gimmicks such as sway. Change the relic run win mechanics in Halls, remove cap points and change King of the Hll to old school altar cap. No need for new maps.

I would love to have Broken Tower back. That map was pwn. And no, we don't need some stupid new maps. And remove cap points for goodness sake, it's like adding a minigame to HA.

Broken tower in the original form (2-party KotH), and no freakin ressing on the altar. With 1v1 its just impossible for the enemy team to kill the ghost.
1v1v1 would make sway even more popular (coz of spirits etc.)

Broken Tower was originally 3 way altar cap with a res orb to bring up teammates by the altar otherwise they would res back at base. Last team holding wins. There was an occasional 1v1 match. Then it became garbage killcount. Where you come up with this information, I don't know. How this would make sway more popular if it was King of the Hill or Altar Cap is beyond me. Sway can't win in Courtyard and they can't win in KotH in halls so how they can win if Broken Tower came back. If anything, if Scarred Earth and Broken Tower were brought back and be second and third in the rotation it would weed out the sway teams instead of three annihilation maps in a row like we have now.

Removing Cap points is a start in the right direction to HA, or do we want some sort of cap points in GvG next too? Less is More kthxbai

Yes, Capture Points must be removed from HA.
HA used to be a very unique play ground but now its just like a stupid ass boring bad training ground for gvg.
For a start, All the Capture Points got very bad designed.

Forgotten Shrines: Run around in circle, boring shit as hell.

The Anthechamber: Hello nukerz, fire fire! This map i havent seen a team with fire eles lose, seriously, this map is way funnier, but its so bad, bad bad.

And finally Hall of Heroes:
This map is very bad designed cause it only has 1 neutral point + points in team bases,
It awards passive play, the team that holds the central altar most wins,
so basicly you can screw a team over by sending people to their base, and let the 3rd team cap, its a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up map.

If they try to design a better map it could work, But it still isnt funny..


I would really like cap points out of HA, as said many times before it doesnt belong here.

Map changesMy suggestions)

Remove Fetid River (dont need 3 killmaps, this 1 sucks most of them all)
Remove Forgotten Shrines (Cap Points, OUT! running around circles ftl)
Remove The Anthechamber (Same as above)

Add Broken Tower (3-way Altar Holding 6 Minute timer with Priest)3rdmap
Add Scarred Earth (4-way, Remove Lever)4thmap
Add Sacred Temples (This is a map where only the best teams win) 8thmap

Changes to Hall of Heroes:
Remove all the current objectives,
Replace it with Altar Holding

Altar Holding rules:
6 Minute Timer
Death Penalty!
And Either:
Res every two minutes with Morale Boost, or
Res every Minute without Morale Boost.
Also, Add the Favor System again, It doesnt have to effect PvE,
just put it back for the fun.


This is what i would like to be changed to HA,
To PvP in general, i would LOVE that Factions/Nightfall would be removed
from PvP but kept in the PvE.
This would bring back alot of players, And also bring back our FAITH in Anet
when they are making GW2.

(What i believe is right)


I dunno why i wrote all this..
somehow i keep believing that anet will do something........

They're in the GW.dat. I found them myself. They're all in positions between 124846 and 124860.

I have been playing HA since december 2005 and I dont know about b4 that, but for a pretty long period of time it was 1v1 KotH. I cant remember if the holding team would ress on the shrine (I think so).
About Sway: It was very late when i typed this and I was confused with killcount :P my bad.

Not much point to this post/thread because all of this has been said millions of times... but whatever.

A cap points mechanic fits huge maps like AB and HB maps, not those jail cell sized maps. Result- everyone, yes everyone, hates cap points (I've yet to meet the player that likes cap points). Remove cap points, especially from hoh (ok 5 min left we lost who do we gank let's gank blue because we want the sway to beat them yeye lets all rush their base and let sway take the middle and our own base lol we pwn).

Fix or remove hoh relics- first cap wins, and give the ghostly some significance (no relic spawns when ghostly's down?)

I actually like KotH the way it is, better than old altars imo, except for ganking (/autokick teams that already lost)

3 1v1 annihilate maps in the beginning is bad. remove fetid.

Bring back Sacred Temples. why on earth was the best map removed.

Bring back Death Penalty to all maps!

Oh, and, a non-embarrassing skillbalance would be nice.
