You can try and run the build around the map... because of RaO, you can try to get the RaO to overextend with his IMS and then go for it, but it's not easy. The build simply outlasts conventional spikes.
Snow, L2sarcasm imo. Same to arien.

Hard to detect text sarcasm from people you know, let alone random people on the internets

But I guess being sarcastic about the latest lameness is about all the the fun you'll get out of TA these days.

The key not to blow up is the same as smiteway in gvg, dont deal dmg to them. So how do you kill ? You pressure hard and SPIKE once, then stop and kite around until energy is back then push hard again, you'd be surprised how easy to heal against rao axe without added pressure from smitemonks. With some snare and little lineback on pet, triple smiteway is a a shitty way to farm glads. It's too slow and depends on people being stupid to win, you can't kill anything for crap if the other team doesn't allow you too.

Even if this thread was about 4 monks there would still be people who can destroy them within 20 sec.

My team consists of g8, g8, g9, g10 and it takes some time to beat them (sometimes we hit the time limit) cuz simply... they have 3 monks. We have lost to them and not only once. Yes we are still ahead of them but everytime we face this setup it's usually a long match ending with uncertain result unless they are rly bad.

Have u guys ever tried to figure out why this game has 1% of its former pvp playerbase? Why are all arenas competely dead? U rly think 99% got suddenly bored?

At least there are still people like chaos always rdy with their pro advices reminding the rest of us the glorious past of this game.

But still... dual SoM was much worse.

Did you really have to put the QQing at the end. It's a waste of what started out as a proper post...

As jace just pointed out, it's not cool to admit you have problems against a certain lameway every now and then. It's much cooler if you post about how everybody sucks and that it's easy to beat. Just don't be bad blabla.

The first time we played against triple smite I think we lost. After that we've discussed the triple smite build a bit in guild chat. Obviously you can stay alive against them, if you do not hex them, and do not poison them, do not attack them and do not ball up. However, we'll never kill if we don't have the additional hex/condition pressure. No matter what some people say, 1 warrior who cannot frenzy (yeah, we use axe) is NOT enough to kill 3 smiters. Conclusion, we have to use hexes and poison if we want to kill them.

So where do we want to put those hexes and conditions, and which hexes are most important. We decided that grasping had to stick to the ranger, obviously it's gonna be hard to make it stick, but 3x smite hex can be compared to the hex removal in a normal balanced team (spotless, veil, remove) and you don't give up hexing there either. So the necro has to make sure the grasping sticks. Also, you may want to consider not hexing the monks, as it could backfire to your warrior.

Poison is a completely different story, we decided not to poison the ranger/pet anymore. Because it will only make their AoE around the deep wound stronger. So poison should be focused on the three smiters. Usually they have SoJ, SoJ and Balthasar's Pendulum as elites. I normally focus my deb-shot on the monk with the most energy-intensive bar, so that's the balth's pendulum monk. You'll notice that he won't use his elite that much anymore after 1/2 minutes. That's the moment when your warrior will be able to KD monks and perhaps get a kill.

Keep poison on the three monks, interrupt smite hex, SoJ, smite condition, castigation signet and bane signet (the monk bars vary a bit). Of course you cannot get all of them on all monks every time, but just try to minimize the smite damage. Smite hex is the most important interrupt as it will make sure the ranger stays snared and it deals loads of damage if it goes off.

If you follow this strategy you'll have smite condition damage on your warrior, and smite hex damage on your necro/monk, but at least not both on the same target. And you can keep decent pressure on the triple smiteway while doing this.

It's not an auto-win strategy, but it got us several wins against this build.

Oh, and one last thing. For those who have grasping on the warrior, forget everything I said, stop linebacking all game long and get a new build.

And still if you do all that and the smiteway sees they're getting killed..
They just stop and run for 1 freaking minute and then come back hoping to blow you up again in 2 minutes..
And then they run again and eventually they'll get the kill and you loose, becuase you need pressure to kill them -.-

smite hex is the key! its interesting because the build hits you at your point of attack with super hax. If your vs a solid team on vent thats spiking with their deep wounds on top of all the aoe and smite its pretty dangerous. Smite Hex is what pops ppl so avoid/rupt it yeye. If u lose you can always cry in local chat about how great u are/bad they are. Reflected's post reminded me my half pug was decimated by their super minion's and dark aura bombs. Sure me and my team were bad but it was pretty funny and its a shame there arnt more guilds/players making any attempt to innovate or create. gotta grindgrindgrind!

For starters you could try running a R/P condition spammer with stunning strike and wild throw to shut down the resilience monk, instead or a warrior. Then have your other ranger run RTW as his prep to interrupt moar better and not worry about tabbing poison. Now you can actually use some condition pressure since their only actual removal is one copy of smite condition.

[build=OgkkUyY4FadEQWRmQ2shxxv2qhAA]

With a major wilderness survival rune. This also has the advantage of not getting hit by zealot's fire...but then again, if you start playing crap like this you're playing lame to beat lame.

No. It will beat the best balanced teams without effort. It's kinda sad really. You shouldn't be able to heal, remove a hex/condition, and do huge damage with a single skill.

Smiter's Boon isn't any more bullshit than any number of other skills or mechanics being exploited in TA right now. Which isn't to say you're wrong about it being bullshit, but rather to say the entire format is pretty bullshit, and that really nothing being used in TA is really balanced right now.

Hi,Joe! 'Tis Gil. But Smiter's boon takes the cake. Admit it!! Massive damage, massive heal, removal in the same skill. That's just wrong.
