LOLZ we are balanced, we don't play gimmmickes!

HA is a gimmick-fest, no exceptions. Everyone abuses whatever they possibly can, period. Balanced isn't the only team that can adjust playstyles on the fly, go watch a good rspike.
Last time I HAed (before the time I experimented with RSpike just to see what that was all about) I ran 2 Wars, 2 Eles, 1 Mesmer, 3 Monks. Is that a gimmick? Am I kidding myself?

I don't Monk myself in HA as a rule, so I have to ask how big is the damage on each of these arrows in a typical r-spike build? Does it actually trip off SB or sneak under it?

On a 70 AL, it will most likely sneak under it, however crit is around 100 damage I think. (Enough to trigger it)

Spirit Bond WILL stop the spike tough (Never seen a target die with Spirit Bond on him), but with Ranged spikes, you can't expect your prot Monk to "catch" every spike. (Assuming you can see the Directing which the Rangers are pointing, you only got ~1.5 seconds 1.3 + flight time)

I doubt there is alot of Monks who can: Constantly look at the Ranger to see which directing he is pointing. The second they activate their skill, turn his camera in the direction of the Rangers. Look for the Party member in ths direction. Spirit Bond him.

This all within those 1.5 seconds, every 8 seconds for about 1-2 minutes. (Time it takes for a good rspike to collapse if they kill nothing)

Even know, you're assuming they never fake spike (which they actually don't anyways, but just throwing out the possibility), your team members are 100% static, and don't move, so you can easily select them. You have free camera range (Something that still should be reconned with).

I find it amusing that when someone QQs about a build/skill, there are always people who would jump in and tell him that he's bad and the build is easy to beat to prove that they are good/1337/pr0s/etc... i find that type of attitude more annoying that those that whine about things. Besides, the OP is right in saying that r-spike is over-used in HA which is a fact so there is a reason to nerf it abit... though his suggestion about the bow nerfs are abit dumb...

Ok so I'm chiming in way late but ~~

As many have said this is a bit of a /ragebuildwars! post, but I'd say nox if you really think it needs a nerf? Tells us exactly & concisely why, and don't ask for a character class to be nerfed as a whole. Just look at Borat's ritspike post. If this is more than you being really pissed about a particularly well-executed RSpike, in all its DPS glory I'm sure you have more to say on this.

AND: GG Adult.

Build Wars is bad for the game, and most of the stuff that counters Rspike is in most cases useless against everything else.

Nonetheless its still rather easy to beat nowadays with so many bad people running it but that doesnt change the overpowerdness of the build.

At least 90% of ranger spike teams also suck.

A decent prot monk and your mes taking out brutal weapon is a fairly healthy way to stay alive until you pressure them out seeing as the build has practically no defense.

3 monk backline +vital + 3 dshots + 4 charrs with 70+ armor is no defence ofcourse.

and 90% of rpsikes team fail to dshot ur diversion, are incapable of monking under any form of pressure and will probably forget to cast vital sooner or later.

But ill say it again, that doesnt change the fact this build is hugely OP in the right hands, which there arent many of in HA these days

The 3R spike is less powerful compared to the 4R spike.
You take out 1R or take out the Rit's damage buffs, le GG.

Guess not much changed after tonights update.

Spirit Bond can still hold every spike like before with it's 5 sec recharge.

And I guess that those who said: "mesmer + cry of frustration" will also like "Tease" now.
