Thank you for your vote of partial-confidence. But the guild still has a lot of coagulation to work on before people should get an accurate judgement on pd. Lack of a consistent core can be to blame.

Your percentages are also based on the opponents we would get, and the builds being played. Everyone has similar chances. But yes, I agree that pd's would be lower than other top 50 guilds.

pd went 4-2 just like the other guilds who qualified for the 16 single elims. pd's fate was in the hands of the results of its previous opponents SA and Me. Those two guilds lost their final matches and that readjusted the score and made pd move from r16 -> r19. pd got bronze because those two guilds lost. Its an unfair system and should be revamped.

But there really is no use crying about it. Its just trim, anet wont fix it, and who cares.

It's not an unfair system.

You won from opponents that were easier to win from in the tournament (hence they lost more). It's the most obvious way to calculate tie-breakers. If you have a better system in mind, do share.

Tiebreakers do suck, but with the time constraints preventing adding more rounds, there's not much you can do about it. As dumb as it is, from a mathematical standpoint it's the fairest way of selecting the cut.

You guys aren't the first guild to be boned by the tiebreaker either.

The tiebreakers are fair enough, if you lose to Me and SA and only got 4 wins against bad people then you dont deserve to be above someone who lost to decent guilds and actually won games against good opponents.

I dont think the seedings are perfect but i think they are as good as you can get within such a short timeframe.

I know qE got 'boned' before lemming.

But see, we beat Glad and [ZOO] who were what r15 and r45 respectively? No they aren't the best, but certainly are good on some measure. Me should have done well, but didn't. Perhaps the only thing that could possibly change is a certain ratio of W-L=trim since trim isn't valued. But as far as the qualifications go for single elims, I personally can't think of anything that would change it for the better.

I hope u're not serious.
We never lost to u. How can u say that we could have beaten u?!. We have a superior roster and you know it too.
And just for the record mitch is a better mesmer than u are.
I don't want to flame or anything, just reporting facts.

Another fact is that we all played the worst matches ever during the mAT, but that's another story.

I'm pretty much just gonna say what I think of the American guilds and their shots going into this monthly.

DM- Only American guild I had in my predictions. I thought that defensive play, warrior spiking, and lord rushing would still win a lot of games and I was right :/

dR- Anyone who thought that these guys were going to get top 8 was pretty stupid to me. They didn't have their Fencehopper to win them games but not playing for a month ruled them out of the competition. With Farin I think they could have made top 16.

dV- Splitting all game without doing anything is a good way to win games. They had a few roster changes and were looking really shaky. I had them for getting a bronze trim, maybe.

qE- Its hard for me to say what their chances were. I wasn't sure how their build choice was gonna pay off but I did expect them to get silver. They would have had it if Dom had a better connection throughout the mAT though.

pd- Another guild its hard to judge. I don't like these players and want to call them bad because of some bad manner stuff that occurred. Yet, they have a good aggressive style that a lot of teams have trouble dealing with. I didn't think that they would get silver, but they played it smart and worked in a few kappa spikes afaik.

oK- American guild I have the most respect for. Solid players, good shutdown, decent tactics. Only Americans besides qE/rawr/DM I could see making top 16, but something happened and they didn't preform well in the mAT.

mud- I think they are terrible. Need a decent frontline, need a decent midline, need better monks. Expected 2-4 or early forfeit from them.

aFk- Expected bronze tbh. I played with them last month and took a break (aka benching qE) but came back to play the mAT with them. I won't go far into player skill except to say that we're terrible. Without a super broken build and playing one man down on vent I didn't expect anything from us.

rawr- Thought they would suck and not make top 8. Didn't expect them to get ranger spiked tbh. I'll probably put them top 8 in the next monthly though.

pd got screwed out of cape and elims. I've always hated the coding for the AT system, this is just another example of it.

Also agree with what Mitch/Quest are saying regarding random euros and stuff.

At the end of the day it came down to paragon split on burning with a one monk backline that won the mat.

Isn't it better to make a new thread for the September mat else people might get confused if they start reading from the old predictions?
