Swords, unlike axes and hammers, don't lose much of their effectiveness if you take out the elite from the attack chain. Axes are a lot weaker without Eviscerate. Hammers are a lot weaker without the elites, because that is where your unconditional non-adrenaline-stripping knockdowns come from. At a sword attack chain, there isn't much difference if you switch Crippling Slash with Sever Artery or Barbarous Slice (for the gash followup), Hundred Blades is simply inferior to Sun and Moon Slash, There is no point in bringing Dragon Slash, the new Quivering Blade can be good but I think that it's better to use the moving target condition on a Bull's strike than on a 5 sec daze. So, because they don't depend on sword elites, sword warriors can bring utility elites from Tactics or Strengh (like charge or bull's charge), or elites from other professions, like in those P/W templates.
