Default Axe Paragons

No joke this time, the DPS of a constant 33% IAS and 25% IMS is pretty surprising

The 33% adrenaline also turns out to net you alot more... moving faster + attacking faster = more attacks = more adrenaline, so that 33% (add another 33% with natural temper) turns out to be closer to 100%-150%.

2 of these axegons in HB (with SoH) I managed to drop human monk + R/P teams, dual NPC monks, and a human monk + blind rit.

For HA its mostly made for making things die, you can drop a necro, the derv, or both necros for mesmers or elementalists.

Note that dervish build is experimental, I really havent had the time to test it. Any ideas for a support build to maintain SoH is appreciated.

Ummm purpose of natural temper with orders?

Why two copies of order of blood or whatever its called? Drop one for dark fury imo so that you get even more adrenaline.

Not going to comment on the derv build, its seems a bit out of place but im not that good with support style dervs.

With the necro's, i would drop mark of pain from one for foul feast (or instead of gole). Then can free the RC monks elite, for maybe SoD or AoF, dunno.

Cant comment on monks builds coz i dont monk HA.

Since ur running melee paragons, it might be worth bringing spear swipe. U obviously have high leadership coz u dont use anything but axe and leadership, so if you bring that in a weapon swap, could cause a bit more pressure, coz atm theres no shutdown really apart from WoD. Also dont know y each paragon has 2 run skills. And y does one of them have find their weakness and dismember?

Give each of the paragons lead the way, imo, coz thats easily maintainable. Also the last axe skill (i think its furious), is again a bit pointless imo. Swap that for either bulls strike, or disrupting shot.

I think the concept is fine, but the builds need ALOT of work.

Good eye, nat temper and the shouts (fall back, find they're weakness) are all optional that I had in there for the shrunken down HB version, I probably shouldve noted that earlier.

Id like to see someone run that bar without GoLE and spamming orders on recharge without running out of energy, and on top of that they need time to cast the other 5 skills on they're bar.

I agree, and neither am I, I couldn't think of anything else. You could go necro but then the build relies too heavily on a constant stream of things dying, I thought the mysticism would go well with the orders.

A good idea, but whats the point without plague sending? Although thats an option aswell, the necro isnt going to have time between orders, barbs, and Soul Bind.

Swear Swipe might be an idea, but it might need some testing, I dont know if its worth taking away from the pew pew the paragons will be doing to switch to a spear.

find they're weakness is there since you can never have enough deep wound, (see: wounding strike)

I had "FB!" manly from when I was using it in HB, heroes are bad at chaining godspeed

10 en, only lasts 20 secs, targets only 1 party member? doesnt sound easily maintainable to me

bulls strike is in strength, it also takes energy which these guys wont have a ton of. disrupting chop is definatly a possibility depending on who's running the build

Was done in GvG before, to good effect... just with Swords

Ld 10+1+1
Sword 12
Comm 8+1

Soldier's Fury (E)
Spear Swipe (Silencing Spear... 12 second Daze)
Barbarous Slice
Gash
S&M Slash
"Go For The Eyes!"
"Lead The Way!"
Rez Sig

I would guess Daze is worth it

EDIT: I believe this was done before GftE! got hit. I dunno if energy management would still be leet enough

Yeah [Baby] was running it. Still, remember the first time I saw it:
"Geez those paras look shit with mellee weapons ... and they kill damn fast!"

I like that sort of gimmicks. Especially the original [Baby] build since it was a weapon swapping bar and I just love them. Daze covered by Deep Wound and Bleeding ... yum num num.

Your build looks fun to run, but won't do good (no interrupt for ghostly, no snares, no way to interrupt a Aegis/DA chain, only physical damage etc. etc.) but hey ... keep us updated if you settle with a final version. Don't forget to take a screenie in halls.

Thanks for sharing.

Edit- nvm you already have that down, maybe take out 1 necro and the derv and put in a mesmer and an ele as you say you can, that would then give you two people to take snares knockdown and interrupts.

It was post-nerf GftE, GftE nerf was a suprising amount of time ago .

Suggestions for the build:
Replace the SoH derv with a SoH rit with [[Offering Of Spirit] and AR etc.
Replace the second Necro something else... hmmm... PB mes? Tainted Mes? Icendiary Ranger?
Adopt the build bobby2 has suggested. Soldier's Fury only works whilst under a shout and all of your shouts end when you attack, which is no use at all.

Maybe you could try this.

Dervish/Necromancer with [Order of pain] and [Dark fury] as Dervish can lower the energy cost with [Arcane Zeal]

Take the orders off 1 necromancer and give the SoH to that necro.
Taking orders off 1 necro can relief the energy. You could pout FF go full Curses.

Switch [faintheartedness] for [shadow of fear] and IMO [insidious parasite] as not place here.

Seriously this team would benefit alot of [Dark fury]. You could replace [Natural Temper] with ["go for the eyes"]. Crit ftw

[hasty refrain] could also be an option with ["go for the eyes"].

So instead of something creative and interesting you get something quite close to balanced? I think the para's would make people think twice about what tactics they need to employ.

No snare, no aoe, not enough interrupts.

If you used swords what builds would you run that didn't basically do the same as the axe paragons? You would inflict the same conditions and do around the same amount of damage (or take out the conditions for more damage but imo that would work very well)

Read the description of Barbarous Slice. (hint: big damage, an extra condition that can be used to cover daze and for extra pressure)

Read the description of Sun and Moon Slash, then read the description of Soldier's Fury.

melee p/w are pretty stylish, but the way you tried to implement this is pretty bad
you probably want more of this:
[skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]Spear Swipe[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill]
[skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]Spear Swipe[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill]
[skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]Spear Swipe[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill]
[skill]Arcane Zeal[/skill][skill]Order of Pain[/skill]
[skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Strength of Honor[/skill]
[skill]Anthem of Guidance[/skill] and [skill]Rip Enchantment[/skill][skill]Rend Enchantments[/skill] or [skill]Mirror of Disenchantment[/skill][skill]Cry of Frustration[/skill]
[skill]Restore Condition[/skill][skill]Channeling[/skill]
[skill]Healer's Boon[/skill][skill]Channeling[/skill]
Usage:train the living shit out of everything, stay alive with 4 support chars
also, wtf is up with skill tags?
