Default Newbie mAT Rewards Question

Hey all, this is my first month participating in the Xunlai House tournament prediction system. From the results, I should be receiving 50 Tournament Reward Points for my predictions. How long after the tournament will I receive them?

I understand this is probably very elementary for most players but I'm pretty new at this.

Points generally go out in the first big update of the month. That said, it'll be this coming Thursday, or the one after.

You then have 30 days to pick up your reward points (you don't have to spend them, just get them from the agent). If you don't pick them up before the next mAT weekend rewards are posted to accounts, you will lose them.

Here's a link to the info on the Official wiki http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Xunlai_Tournament_House which covers everything to do with the Tournament.

And don't feel noobish for asking. This has to be the most asked question on this forum site as soon as the monthly tournaments are over.

What about those who still haven't received them from the last?

Regina said that those would be handed out in the next big build. They know people didn't get them. There's a thread in Riverside about that, actually.

The main thing I find from people new to Xunlai is that they are not aware they have to pick up the points from the Xunlai agent but assume they will just be added to the account.

My best suggestion is to check on the official GW site for game updates and then check with the Xunlai agent the day after ( as it can take a little while for all teh info to load into Xunlai).

Ahh ok, that gives some settlement. Thanks, can't wait for double prediction points.

I have one other thing that I was wondering. It says that each member of the winning team gets 4500 TRP's, second place gets a little less, and so on. A Zaishen Key costs five points and is worth ~5K. Does this basically mean that members of the winning team are each handed 4,500,000 coins, or am I interpreting this wrong?

If I'm right, holy crap GvG is where the money is!

That is correct sir. Winner gets 800+ Z-Keys.

Seems like PvP has better rewards than PvE, doesn't it? What's ArenaNet trying to tell us?

Yeah, but only if you're the winner of the MaT. Pretty sure most people will farm that much gold before they could win the MaT.

Edit: Of course other teams win points as well, but success in the MaT is still way out of reach for the majority of GW players.

ArenaNet didn't set the value of a Zaishen Key. The players did that. But for those who don't PvP, we have the monthly predictions where you can win up to 250 Tournament Points. That translates into 50 keys or 250k per month.

Yes, but not because of the required time investment, theres many pvers who put thousands of hours in this game. It's out of reach just because of their lack of intellect or competitive spirit.

edit:
And on the money subjects. Yes you get rich, i'm a millionaire myself, but there is absolutely no use for the money except selling on E-bay or buying the maxed out alehound/sweettooth/partypooper title for HoM.

That GW was designed and built as a PvP game? Welcome to 2005, except back then the tournament winners got thousands of dollars for winning (that's real life money, fyi).

If only they had put more effort into enhancing the competetive side of the game - one can only imagine the quality game we could have now.

They're trying to tell you to PvP.
