Fun to some extent, but also unnecessary. Burning arrow was fine.

This in addition to the lack of touching things that actually do need a fix equate this update to FAIL.

Burning arrow was fine. As a matter of fact most of the higher ranked guilds were already running this in preference to incendiary, crip, or magebane. I honestly cannot fathom a buff to an elite that already sees so much use.

They didn't so much give people a choice, but instead made up their minds for them.

Nothing really happened to the BB Sins. You only need 4 hammer to get a three second KD which is enough to get your chain off and the attribute split allows you to even run 12 Hammer and still get that four second KD to ensure you kill while the target is still eating dust.

PvXwiki is already adjusted accordingly.

FGJ did hurt warriors and Paragons much much more then any BB Sin, just takes a bit longer to charge up now but if that build is rolling it rolls. Don't miss it on my bar.

Wonder if they even test that stuff in advance? Sure doesn't look like it.

BB sins weren't that big of a problem anyway (weapon swap bars are great fun!). They are not so easy to pull off against any team with a decent monk.

This skill balance did ... erhm nothing beside odd uncalled changes to balance ranger elites that were commonly used.

The buff to Burning Arrow made it slightly stronger in splits and that's all. On a spike your burning gets removed with the Deep Wound before it lasts it's full duration anyway.

Incendiary arrows still is supreme at poison spreading.

And Melandru's is a bonus to anyone how ran it before in splits, but was used anyway due to it's awesomness (aka fun factor!).

The bloodspike is hard opponent only in the hands of players that have brains. (I wont go to details here because I still want to kick their ass, faced only 1 guild sofar who knows how to easywin with that build). But still, it needs to be fixed, especially the resurrection shrine blockage shit.

Pretty decent changes, Immolate buff is somewhat nice, tho triggers SB now ;< FGJ as said mostly just hurt warriors than sins, and BB is still abusable. Hidden Caltrops got nerfed, and it needed to.

People wondering why it was so small:

Upcoming Changes

This month's content update is lighter than usual as we are currently working on a larger update due next month. Next month's update will focus primarily on balance and pacing issues associated with many PvE titles.

Tho, dunno what it will bring with it. The updates lately has been pretty good and such, so will we get the GvG world nuked out of the planet next month or what, we never know. Tho, dunno about the fact that it speaks something from PvE titles, those are rather unbalanced and need fixing, RIGHT?

It's a message that can be interpreted 2 different ways, which is what leaves me skeptical.

Is the balance referring to the PVE titles (PVE balance, har)?

Balancing the game, and also reducing PVE title grind?

A strategically placed comma in that sentence could change everything.

Incendiary Arrows and Caltrops nerfs were obvious. Still need to see...

Expert's Dex -> prep with 2s activation
smite condi and hex -> reduce aoe to "nearby" instead of "in the--ARE YOU RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING SERIOUS--area!?" (skills actually read like that, btw)
Necro shit-> something. I don't know the build well enough to have any ideas.
Visions of regret -> at least 3s cast. Maybe lower duration.
Wastrels -> damage down, maybe.
Oh, and Burning Arrow -> revert pointless buff.

Not to disappoint you, but got your answer:
"There will be the same kind of skill balance we do every month after the AT nothing really beyond that for skill balance. This build is mostly for rebalancing how people achieve titles. - Image:User Linsey Murdock sig.jpgLinsey talk 17:18, 13 October 2008 (UTC) "

You heard it here first folks, next month we're getting a buff to Feedback and Blood Bond to finish balancing the game I guess.

Why? People might actually consider running it now. It only added a second anyway.

Because the only reason it might not have ever been taking was because of a more op skill replacing it. You nerf that skill not nerf it and then buff it. Yeah its just a second, but it's still stupid to buff and already good skill that saw quite a lot of play anyways...

Running it now?

Before the update many top guilds were highly favoring it over incendiary already. It was already a top ranger elite and highly used; it doesn't need a buff.
