Default Dishonorable for resigning

Why does this apply to a team resigning? If we get owned, or are last team left, and we resign, our team gets dishonorable.

I can understand for just leaving, but using the resign function, a feature made into the game, thats kinda lame.

(someone help with my QQ)

Yes, I agree this is stupid, but as far as I know this only happens in AB?

It's a problem with AB because when you resign your team of 4 leaves the match early, which triggers dishonourable, rather then the match ending early.

Yeah, this happens in AB. I've not got dishonourable yet - only /resigned twice before, but yep, it counts.

Really frustrating when your faction is 1 entire team (or more!) short.

Bump for good cause tbh.
This is a dumb flawed mechanic.

Do you know what happens when your team resigns in AB? YOUR team leaves, the other 2 teams have to stay and lose.

Or just leave/resign.

Yeah, personally they should change AB to make all teams resign in order to end it, that way it prevents dishonor from that, and prevents teams leaving like that.

If it didn't work like this there would be too much room for abuse. Guild and friends list teams that know what they are doing might just /resign in the first few minutes if it wasn't looking good and leave the others with no hope at all. Many of the crappy grab and go pugs probably deserve to be left but generally it wouldn't be fair.

What's needed is a different mercy rule mechanic than the current one where you have to hold all shrines for 60 seconds to end it early. They could probably come up with some point thresholds where a comeback is statistically improbable, at which point there is an alert on the screen that your can now resign.

It's usually their own fault for being so dreadful that no one would want to play with them. This is how I see it: Four year olds could organise in AB, it's pretty obvious. Therefore, people who cannot organise in AB must be stupider than a four year old; And people under four should not be playing an online game.

Looks pretty logical to me. Otherwise a team could just enter AB over and over, resigning early each time messing up either Luxon or Kurzick side badly ...

You'd QQ way more if that was possible

This exactly, by resigning you're abandoning your teammates, just like in RA/TA. Keep it I say.

And that type of "I'm better than you noob" discriminatory behavior is what dishonorable is designed to prevent.

So... your point?

I cannot help not liking people who cannot perform the simplest of tasks. I would not say I discriminate, I just lack tolerance and patience for idiocy. Lets not lie to ourselves: Three exits, three teams, it would take even a new player all of ten seconds at the most to figure this one out.

Oh so you make snap judgement decisions on people before the game even STARTS.

Yeah, sorry. But this is what dishonor is meant to prevent.

Well, I do that at the start sometimes - take a look at the make-ups of groups, seeing whether they took time in picking their party members or just a random group. Sure, not everytime I see bad groups does it automatically mean I lose, but I like to take a look at what's around.
