That limits the use of natural stride since you will only be able to use it when your expert's dexterity is about to run out.

So is lightning reflexes, dunno isn't there some overlap? Just seems like it would be hard to protect your purge sig and prep with lightning reflexes, but I guess that really doesn't matter vs. magebane.

Light reflexes is a clear choice. Thx to it u can use stuff like RTW or res sig with no worries if u are not against magebane. Also it's a pro defensive stance.

This ranger template is just like any other magebane ranger. The difference is it has mesmer like interrupts (I mean their casting time only ofc), DPS almost comparable to a hammer warrior (y pretty sad) and constant 33% IAS.
Add the current condition hate, absence of prot on monks + dshot on WoH anytime u wish and u will get that magebane rangers have to say goodbye.
This expert's dexterity is the new turret ranger. Because: IAS, high damage, spammable skills etc.

Allright then magebane rangers with sloth hunters shot and light reflexes are turrets as well cuz of IAS, high damage and spammable skills.
Turret rangers didnt have any form of shutdown and if u dshot their prepared shot they were screwed.

But yeah this ranger is a bit OP imo.

You cannot maintain lightning reflexes. Your DPS is far, far inferior. Your sloth doesn't hurt as much at 10/11 marks than it does at 17. Anyway, you get the point. Turret really stands for being able to dish out big dps/spike damage from range instead of that prepshot build that got wikinicked 'turret ranger'.

Actually, you have enough energy for this ranger though. Just don't spam savage shot too much.

When one Warrior attacks another Warrior in order to reduce pressure off your own team.

wouldnt it be smarter to ignore the warrior attacking you and go for their healer?

The modern trend for balanced is to staple your frontliner to their frontliner. If everything is a simple question of math, then you can do more damage then they do by knocking / snaring their frontliner for 2/3rds of the match, keeping him out of frenzy, and forcing him to pump damage into you. With squishier "frontliners" like Dervishes and Sins, they're already ideal targets anyways. So you basically just grind out the other team.

EDIT: people have run warriors that just lineback forever since the beginning of time, from dev hammer to cripslash (esp. when disarm was 12s), but in my opinion, it wasn't until recently that pretty much every balanced team does just that.

Its basically balanced with a turret ranger to spike with the warrior stuff...so its pretty damn effective. Sloths is still leet vs gimped out targets.

One thing to add though is to try and fit in a 1 sec bow attack. You can Normal Bow speed -> 1 sec -> 1/2 sec machine gun without being hit with cooldown time. improves the chance of a spike killing shtuff by quite a bit.

Actually, purge signet is really good on monks, especially when they hover at 1-5 energy on low set anyway from the debilitating spam.

Purge is fine on a monk, as long as they don't phailhard at understanding how sets + weapon swapping works and know when to use it.

But IMO purge on a warrior if you can fit it. Rangers and messes are more likely to be sitting on the monk and necro in a balanced team, so a warrior can get away with it easier.
