For this month, badly. I watched several games where they pushed (probably overly-intimiadated) top 50 asian teams into their base in the first 5 minutes, and then they just started failing and dying over and over.

I'm very enthused to see these players back, but they are rusty and have a whole new metagame to catch up with. It will be a while before they can make it to top 16.

The Return has been around for a bit, for all the hype they are a let-down, last of master spends most of the game spamming heal sig while on full health and they often lose to bad heroway people during asian times.

Everyone when they go will come back worse then before, especially with all the new things put in since they left. Don't say they suck just yet, they need time to get back into playing and get use to the new skills and whatnot.

With my guild we beat them with 3 BB sins, a snarer, sig mes, 2 monsk and a rt flagger.. They had 2 snares so effectively could keep 2 sins out of action.. We weren't on vent or anything and tbh was a simple match, but idk much about gvg, maybe they are meant to be good.

All I know is that the article about them sounds pretty sad, practising 6-7hours a day.. :S what for? I herd GW was dead.

Half the guild is made of shitty koreans, the other half are Last Pride players who haven't changed builds for 2 years.

You do the math.

They played the august mat and did terribly, forfeiting in the 4th round after 3 straight losses to bad >200 rank guilds. I really hope they can get back to the top but it looks like it will be a while.

Well I don't think they will unless if they observe the current top players. When they played, skill was more important than what skills were in your bar. However, now the opposite is true, and they don't have the main equipment they need.

Should be fun to watch them rise up in the ranks. I don't think there is anyone in the game that doesn't want to see them competing for the top 10.

Honestly I hope they do come back and have success
First time I watched a GvG with Evil in it
Made me want to PvP so badly & it was fun
They dominated teams so easily
They were a huge part of Prophecies only PvP

They'll make it to the top again, but only if they can manage to stick it out through a couple months of losing consistently.

Back in the days there were big Championchips held with pretty nice money prices (they won 50.000 Us Dollar in Taipei i think) , ofc no one would play that much nowadays because there simply is nothing to win tbh or unless they have rly much fun in GvG; which is with this meta an oxymoron ^^ (btw they played that much back in the days, not atm for the stated reasons...)

I saw one match of theirs and I sat on last of master the entire time I was watching. He split but he didn't attack anybody and I think he had his bow out more than his sword/shield. After 8 minutes of watching him stand there on the split doing absolutely nothing while the rest of his team died I said RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO this and closed the window. Shameful

Until they have at least most of their old core back I don't expect anything from them, they currently play with a bunch of bad players like Ji Seon, Tras and a bunch even more random names.

As if that wasn't bad enough they also run bad skillbars (W/A with shadow walk and wary stance, Me/E with water skills and meteor, etc.)

Honestly with the current metagame I don't expect them to do well even with their old core, their playstyle with lots of splitting and skirmishes just doesn't work that well anymore.

I was never into the GvG scene when EviL were around, so it should be interesting to see how they do in the new meta.

check ladder

In order to qualify for a recent monthly tournament, The Return played for 16 hours straight just to qualify for the event...and then played another 7 hours in the tournament itself.
check last MT results, 7 hours for forfeit in 4th round? gg.

A lot of people seem to think that they are just rusty but if i were to go back and play a game like Age of Mythology that i havent played for 3 years im pretty sure that i could play the ladder to a high level without needing 3 months of 24/7 training.

There really isn't much happening in Guild Wars currently, even someone completely new to the game could reach top20 given the time that evil has had.
