they're getting increasingly worse each month. gvg you can still get some sort of decent predictions on sometimes, but 1v1 is just a huge joke. anyone who plays 1v1 obsessively enough to win tournies plays on different names every month. i guess they think they're sneaky or something, but really it's just a pain in the ass.

Actually it is way too early to start making predictions, seeing as most guilds don't get their QP until right before the tourney, so its pretty pointless making your picks until the night before.

As far as who will win let me see if I can sum it up:

GvG

1. Rawr
2-8. Random Euro guilds with maybe 1 American guild thrown in.

HB
1-8. Randomly pick 6 names from the 1st page, then 2 from the 2nd page.

I watched some last [sup] games looks like they have some new strategy. I think they can go high.

About 1vs1 is true random.

1vs1 is srs bsns when you do predictions. I've found it's more fun to use dice or another way of randomizing your picks. Just to spice things up a bit.

I see it that:

1. Rawr / Sup
2. vR (I haven't see them in action long time, if I watch some battles I will update here)
3- Random

This shall be a very high calibre mAT, with guilds such as vR, Goth and ReX showing that they are very strong teams, and that they can take down far higher ranked guilds.

I think these guilds can definitely take the top 3 places in the mAT.

lol.

Team Paradigm for gold

Today they were obviously tanking with all the rating and rank loss so I think it is their intentions to sneak from behind and take gold, very strong guild.

mAts are serious business for the concerning randomer now. So im expecting to see some pretty random guild names in the top 8.

Common, I need 60-80 zkeys for rank 6 zaishen from my 4 accounts predictions so if I average 105 rps it should do it. But yeah:

rawr
kmd
sup
stp
dm
dirt
bcs
holz
idle
(relevant 20+ qps guilds in top 40)

that's about what i would consider, in various combination, with prolly a few outliers as well, just for spicing things up.

update: forgot about hb:

pick top 8 based on qps from first and second pages in descending order
or
pick top 8 based on qps from first and second pages in ascending order
or
pick top 8 based on qps from first and second pages in alternate order
or
pick most weird char names in random order

(that's what i basically do on my accounts)

DM is dead, I don't think BcS plays anymore, at least I haven't seen them play in a while and wouldn't put them in top 8.

Idle might not play either from what I was told (although I wouldn't be surprised if they end up playing anyway). And NOW(BOSS) is apparently not playing either, though I don't really trust them at all.

I don't really know who else to put in top 8 this month tbh, act (basically a downgraded WWF), vE and ten (mkay reform without monks) all seem rather weak atm.

As far as euro guilds go dP and AA would probably be decent bets, from Americans Wipe and Vibe seem decently strong/active atm and possibly even vR(0-4) and SU(mad).

My predictions:

1 Rawr
I don't really see anyone beating rawr this month, sup could maybe have done it but wurms isn't in the single elim and sup's current roster doesn't seem as effective at splitting as their previous one(s).

2-4
KMD/sup/Holz in any order
Depends a little on random chance, I see these guilds as the best euro guilds atm with KMD and sup slightly above Holz.

5-8
Idle/dP/Vibe/StP in any order
dP and StP are pretty much safe picks for top 8 but at the same time I don't expect them to make it past this round, neither of these guilds particularly excells at splitting but despite the rotation the meta doesn't seem to favor splits very much.

Vibe seems to have taken DM's spot of premier tiebreaker guild, I think they often gimp themselves by running kinda bad bars but it seems that by 28:03 they've dealt more damage to the other team's lord than their own lord incurred

Idle this month played roughly 1/10th of the # of matches they played last month and as such I don't expect all that much from them, the meta of 'pumping out damage brainlessly' seems to suit their frontline though and I can't really think of a better candidate for top 8 (possibly NOW/BOSS if they do play).

Ouch, Mitch. You completely omitted act!
Rau/Adrian/Mystiq would be displeased.

-edit-

I meant omit them for his top8 pick :P
