It used to be an Elite [frenzy], where you could simply switch to another stance whenever getting pressured/spiked and switch back into fu(k-your-kiting mode. (I hate having to walk around the censors...)

Now, it's an Elite [sprint], where you can still run it, but have to wait awhile after cancel-stancing.

If that isn't enough to prove that the nerf was justified, look at [rampage as one] As long as your pet was still alive, you could train a target forever without energy problems (back when NF was fresh off the shelves and [rampage as one] had a 20 second duration. Now you have to use it once every 12-13 seconds and bring some sort of e-management ([energizing wind], zealous weapon mod, etc.) just to cope with energy.

And people, brave people, still run it. You just have to be smarter with it.

Look at it the opposite way: having an elite which is much better than the alternatives, and easier to use essentially destroys every other option. Primal is still viable, but it's more in line with other options. A WE nerf would be nice to see now, and in my opinions, warriors would be in a good place balance-wise.

note [energizing wind] is easily killed and has a very short duration ^^

This one of ANet's better updates. Bout time they got something right.

This is what they're still missing:

1. Spawning power needs to be not *&*(& useless
2. Peace and Harmony needs to be nerfed
3. AI bug for RoJ
4. VoR needs to die

Once again... Yes, it is powerful. Yes it is better than frenzy. And yes, it is also elite skill point, which you could've put into Eviscerate.
You can train people? Sure, you can also KD them and not have any problems at all.
I just fail to see whats so overpowered about PR. It was already only useful on 8v8 format. Now I cant even think why would I ever put it on my bar over frenzy. In fact Frenzy is just plain better.

I also fail too see how is dstrike is so overpowered. It's a half a second attack skill with no extra damage on top. That is too good? Ok, according to that logic Protectors Strike is way through the roof overpowered... Except it isn't.
It's a good interrupt? Ya, well i know a few better ones. Oh you mean it is too overpowered on rupting target after KD? Ya, well too bad, I can jump on a sin and 100% guaranteed score a kill on unprotected target with absolutely no timing, positioning or general skill involved, which happen to be required for a good hammer KD lock.
I mean dstrike was already pretty mediocre skill, and now its just plain bad. If anything, they should've fixed useless condition it.

Seriously, you need to stop drilling same OMG ITS OVERPOWERED routine. Overused doesn't mean overpowered. People use it because alternatives are just more of those never used skill that fundamentally suck, we don't need more of those.

It wasn't just that it was overpowered, it was also imbalanced. With the high abundance of hex removal and condition removal, snaring a Warrior with PR is almost useless (and dangerous if they have a smiter behing them)

Kiting is the primary tactic most players use to prevent being attacked by a melee character. [rampage as one] was a complete disaster of a skill, seeing as how it did the same thing with less consequences. That is why it was nerfed. Nerfing the recharge was the only real logical way of fixing it without destroying it, and people have been used to the "double damage" clause with Frenzy since Proph days.

Also, it was useful in every PvP format: AB (particularly for running from shrine to shrine and killing off strays), RA/TA (train the only monk on the team while having [defile defenses]+[lingering curse] on it), HA, and GvG. It was the perfect train skill, which is why it had to be nerfed.

[distracting strike was an interrupt AND followup attack at the same time. Give that ability to a Hammer War that can auto-crit for 70+ damage, and it's automatically broken. This is why the devs made [distracting blow] deal no damage; they knew it would be too much if it dealt damage. [protectors strike] is more balanced because it can't interrupt, therefore limiting the spiker's utility.

Also, everyone knows that the Assassin was a broken failure of a class. But even an Assassin can't hit a target with 70+ damage in 1/2 second without having some sort of buff on it.

And just because a skill is useless doesn't mean that it has to be useful (i.e., [smiters boon]...)

Yes, but if you have five skills that do the same thing, why bring more than one? (some of the Factions duped skills are usefull, but other's are pretty useless) Having limited options is better for the metagame.

Skills like Warrior's Endurance and Eviscerate sucked compared to the last version of primal rage. Nerfing primal rage gave us LESS skills that suck and are never used, not diminished the pool. And primal is actually still runnable anyway, despite the knee-jerk reactions everyone had, myself included. It's just in line with other warrior elites now. Honestly, I can't think of a better way to have fixed primal rage. All in all, pretty strong update.

For next update, main things I want to see: VoR--pretty brain-dead skill. needs to be reworked or killed off.
PnH: Cast time. It needs to be susceptible to interrupts. 3/4 or MAYBE even 1s.
Lingering Curse: energy cost goes up. 5 energy is WAY too little for its effect.

none of which applies if you have only one monk.

Please finish your own line of though... it is all BECAUSE Frenzy has 4 sec recharge and can be fired up and swapped out at any time. The double damage is just the price tag that comes with it.

Your examples are fundamentally flawed. You somehow assume that your opponents have no shutdown of their own, and nobody is killing your monk. Shall you get an Empathy on you and your monk is getting pressured - you are pretty much dead in the water.
And AB? I have won AB with nothing but heal sig and frenzy on my bar (seriously). Just because you come up against bunch of headless chickens doesn't make PR good.

I must be missing something big here? An auto crit on dstrike? Since when?
Or you mean against moving target? What does this have to do with interrupt then? And yet again, Protectors Strike is infinitely better in this category.

Assassin can hit for more than that. Unsuspecting strike, Jungle strike, almost every dual attack deals more damage in roughly the same time. Assassin can also inflict ton of conditions including DW and KD, all without building adren. Simply put, warrior without a rupt vs assassin is a dead warrior.
It is not jealousy, its a fact. I played warrior for about 5 months. I played assassin for maybe 2 weeks total. I can pwn faces left, right, up, down and sideways with later with like zero effort. While being able to land perfect KD lock (when ping allows) with former I feel much weaker overall.

No thanks, I take useful skills, and you can take the rest if you think its normal that way.

For pure adrenal spike [eviscerate], for caster assisted [dismember] with something to fuel it, for spike as a part of a pressure seriously [decapitate]

I won't read a whole post of someone who said PR was only useful on 8v8 format.

shat do.

PR had the same issue as shadowsteps - it allowed bad warriors to do what good warriors to do. Good warriors are good because of positioning, making good use of frenzy, and attacking different targets at such times so as to pressure monks out.
