You ironically said it yourself, many professions had several ways to play a bar, such skill bars were necessary because you weren't always guaranteed to fight a balance team. Gvg teams had to account for different builds and in order to survive had to pick builds which allowed great differences play styles. Compared to how things are now where teams have to account for very little variability and hence there is only one real way to play a bar. Man the hole kids like you digged is soo deep that even thinking you can get out the hole by decreasing the net damage in the current meta by 200 would save you from drowning in your own piss is laughable.

I remember the days when you can tell a new player to find their niche and play the red engine gored engine gored engine gored engine go out of it and soon you will be good enough to play at a level you find fun, even though it may not be the top. Those days are pretty much gone.
