Primal Rage is godlike, there's nothing to argue about.

You can swap targets faster, charge adrenaline faster, get more damage out against kiting targets, have more adrenaline/energy for attacks, higher deep wound frequency, more effective Bull's, more effective DChop (if you run it), and, on top of all, better mobility for collapse kills / flag running.

Never thought Izzy would bring out something I'd take over Eviscerate - but he did.

Personally, I say axe due to the easy 5 adrenaline deep wound. With a sword, you'd need 2 skill slots due to the fact that you need a bleed and Gash.

Thats why i run with a conjure... plus i just suck with DChop, so i run agonizing (not that that has anything to do with running conjure or not)

I know shock has alot of utility to it, so i switch back and forth...depending on my mood or situation

And Im pretty sure that people who argue about 'Eviscerate make big numbers' or insert WE instead of Evi, don't think about the long run, which GvG is.

I don't understand why Eviscerate is even up for comparison with Prage. Is +29 dmg that important? It needs 3 more adren than dismember too. I can understand Prage vs. WE, but Prage vs. Eviscerate? Help me understand why the hell anyone would want +29 dmg over the new Prage.

So what do people think about taking a warrior FU stance as a cancel instead of rush, like disciplined stance?

It's not available as often, but it's a natural cancel if you're being spiked under prage, and you're pretty much unkillable while it's up.

The extra damage on Eviscerate was a lot more important back when Warriors needed to react quickly to openings and spike vulnerable targets themselves, when there wasn't time to count down a spike let alone wait for 2c assists to come in. Warriors weren't blowing their adren on recharge either, you could watch those old matches and the better Warriors would hold the Eviscerate for up to a minute at times looking for a good place to score a kill. If you were counting down a spike with an assist, you were probably choking on the recharge of Shatter Enchantment, which is usually more than enough to charge any adrenal skill you like.

Now there's no point in looking for an opening, you brute force them with Rend or similar. Your spike assists are all 1c spells on very fast recharges, and the choke point is on the adrenaline. Dismember being 5A now makes it much more attractive for that sort of spiking; it might be better than Eviscerate straight up for 321 builds.

In your modern eurospike build, Primal Rage is ideal *because* of how much it simplifies playing Warrior. It's an easy target to make fun of, but calling and counting down spikes regularly takes a lot of attention, which takes away from, well, playing Warrior. There have been very, very few Warriors in the history of Guild Wars that could count down spikes with regularity without it visibly detracting from their gameplay, with the now-infamous 'Polly dance' being just one example; virtually every Warrior does one. So in the eurospike style of continuous spike counting, Primal Rage simplifying gameplay is a godsend. Warrior is the most micro-intensive class in Guild Wars, and it's next to impossible to play it well while continually directing spikes. Primal Rage makes '321 Warrior' perform a lot more like a Warrior giving his full attention to his own performance, and that's worth an awful lot when the meta calls for spikes faster than you can charge Dismember.

On topic: I think primal rage is a bit too strong, potential permanent 33% IMS is nothing to laugh at, Kalzu outran a hammer warrior with Enraging Charge with it while he was holding the flag

Make it 25% IMS and it would probably be fine.

Personally I like to run Primal Rage but it's a bit too strong and I guess you can call it an "easy mode" skill for Warrior.

Sadly there is an increasing number of "easy mode" skills in this game, many of them has been included in the last few month's updates. (I think most people know what I am referring to here, even tho it's only for a select few professions.)

(Eviscerate sounds way cooler then Primal Rage tho!)

primal rage is pretty much warrior easy mode. however, out of the bunch of easy mode skills added over the last little while, it is the best of the bunch.

because you can pressure a team all you want but eventually its gonna be time to get kills, and because the pressure stuck back then, there was time for warriors to pick the optimal spot to get kills rather than having their window close in 5 seconds

btw: the best warrior builds have eviscerate AND dismember
