Hex/minion pressure, superpowered grenth dervishes and searing flames right after NF was the worst shit ever.

I liked eurospike. Perhaps it's because it was easy enough for me to succeed decently while having little clue, but it's the only meta I can possibly recall where it was viable to run 3 mesmers, all with domination skills.

Triple surge builds way back when this game was new and exciting.

My least favorite meta was eurospike. Most favorite was before the celestial tournament when all of america (except for cow of course) decided they were going to run split. Made for some very fun times.

Oh :<

Very true, very likely to have been during my 8 month break of the game.

Why do you all like Eurospike?

Everyone complained that it sucked having to prot against shadowsteps, but Eurospike was just that.

Probably because everyone had unlimited energy and it took some skill getting spikes through with people running multiple copies of incoming and 5 energy b surge. Matches between equally skilled teams were exciting and fast paced. Or maybe thats just me.

Npcs didn't play a big part either as both teams would blow them up with spiritual pain and energy surge at VoD.

My 2 favorites: The GWFC meta that had 1 blight/1boon prot monk, and the LoD meta (thought id never say that one...)

Worst = grenth derv train, sf way, shove smite, jagged bones, sb/ri spike, eurospike, and any meta since nf was released.

I honestly can't think of a single meta that I disliked when playing.

I enjoyed eurospike because I didn't monk at that time.

It was fun because every team running it would have so much dom shutdown to try and RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up their opponents the most possible for spikes to go through easier.

Having 4-5 dom skills on 3 chars was fun to me, in a meta that wasn't the most balanced.
At least it was action packed and involved a lot of shutdown.

Least favorite all kinds of spikes and 0815 mixed spike balanced garbage.
Favorite all kinds of pressure and splits.
Any meta with the most mirror games is the worst.
Any meta with the most build variety is the best.
Hate spikes love pressure & split.. is all.

My favourite meta was just as regular eurospike was dying and split-spikes were becoming dominant, abusing shadow of haste. That was back when I could run an earth tank in GvG and have an extremely high success rate.

Least favourite would be any of the pure split builds we have now. Running around for 28 minutes gets boring fast.

Actually, I'll have to say I really enjoyed playing a halfways random dual frag split with 2 teams of a fragmes and a cripshot.

I just don't remember a lot from back then.

Favorite was probably LoD / SoD meta.

Least favorite was nH because I didn't play warrior.
