From my experience beating R-spike usually comes down to the hammer warrior. As long as he is up keeping people down, then things usually go your way.

If ur euro balance, ranger d shots vitals, glass arrows and spikes during the entire game.

fav taken down by warrior for obvious reasons.

Mes should be shitting on their backline constantly cause a 3 monk backline can be hard to take down, If u have cry then interupt spikes with it on recharge, if leak then obviously save it for 1 second monk casts.

Midline should try to stay on a shield as much as possible, even switching to 4040 cast is dangerous as they have a frequent spike, unless you have prot or weaponed.

I dont monk, but if infusing i assume u would redbar it by relfexing. This shoudlnt be hard assuming ur rangers/warriors have been shutting down or pressuring so they cant clean spike.

If you have numpad/keyboard monking setup would probably be even easier.

prot monk needs to prepot the ele and mes with gaurdian, spiritbond and even ls. To make ur life easier, keep one of their rangers clicked on constantly they dont have any pressure in between spikes so that shouldnt be a problem. Also always top up redbars, dont leave bars at 3/4 from random ghost damage or ranger attacks.

If they dont spike anything in the first minute of engagement, they generally lose and even if they do, they will be under alot of pressure so dont drop of cause they dont have any midline support apart from the 3rd monk who 99% of times overlaps his heals with their main monk.

It's not like other spikes though, after the spike there's no more damage incoming, it either kills them or it doesn't, you don't need infuse.

Because it's hard to see 4 bows spin towards you..... Even if u suck at field watching you should be able to see them use the big 2 sec cast skill called Forked Arrows, when you see that swap to shield set and strafe like hell, afterwards, get back on your 40/40 to avoid interruption...... aka don't be bad....

@ Borat,

Not bringing infuse would just be dumb, not all spikes are clean and you will safe some lives This allready something if you don't fieldwatch otherwise you can pre infuse.

@ Ciric:

Agreed on your weapon swapping post. But people do tend to suck alot, if I got 1 penny for every PUG that died on a 40/40 set. (Usually a frenchie who then rages the group saying: "lul lul bad team lul" on vent)

But mid cast, you already have to cancel your cast, and then weapon swap. Or in case of a aftercast delay, you might get caught on a 40/40 set. I have died maybe twice on a 40/40 set in my GW carreer, but I can see how other people (Mainly midliners) do it a few times a day.

@Grom:

I never said you shouldn't bring infuse. Instead, what I AGREED upon (Cuz I all I did was ask why you would want to infuse AFTER the spike) is the fact that once the spike is over, you don't have to infuse it.

Pre-Infusing doesn't work, and if you think it does, it clearly does add to your credibility as a high-end PvP'er.

Let me explain you something:

Pre-protting is effective because enchantments have a lasting duration that will literally PROTECT the target. Thus, pre-protting will safe you against an rspike.

Pre-infusing on the other hand is pointless, because what's the point in infusing someone at 100% HP? (Really?!)

But I figured you already knew this obvious obviousity (Yes, I can make words up), nontheless, I figured I'dd let you know there's no such thing as Pre-Infusing.

Now back on the point:

An Rspike uses a main spike skill, and a follow up (Savage). There is NO damage comming after these 2 packets, who hit pretty much simultaneously.
Thus, IF you DIDN'T manage to infuse the spike, WHY would you want to waste energy on a target that won't die in the first place? Just Patient-Dwayna's him up to full HP instead.

Offcorse, I'm NOT talking about a delayed spike here. Yes, if one Ranger got KD'd, and is gonna spike half a second late, I would infuse it. But I always watch the battlefield, and I will not often infuse a spike I don't have to.
Non-the-less, rspike is pretty clean (900+ damage on target with shield), and you have to rely on your team to shutdown the spike. (I agree upon that one)

Thus I will never blame my infuser if I loose to Rspike, (Unless he didn't infuse sloppy spikes) and neither will I usually do with any other teammates. Unless they, offcorse, die on 40/40 set's.
