I used to play Guild Wars a long time ago (back when you used tomb of primeval kings), and before i quit I used to do HA alot and I really enjoyed, so much so I got myself to rank 3 pretty quickly. After a while though I decided I wanted to play WoW instead, and have not played much Guild Wars ever since.
My problem is, now ive come back to play it (Guild Wars pvp > WoW pvp), im struggling to get into a group for HA. I left my account with Rank 3 but it appears that it is near enough impossible to get into a group without being ATLEAST rank 5. Im a competent player and a fast learner, and im betting I can play to rank 5 or higher standard, I just dont have the rank to prove it. So the question is, is there any way for me to get into a HA group without the rank required?

Go into a HA guild or buy fame till your rank5

Your only option is really to find lower ranked groups or find a guild/friends to take you. Rank discrimination is a very common thing. Your lack of whining about it in your post however, is actually very refreshing.

I used to start my own group back when i was unranked. I could pull off an r7++ HA group. Nobody really questions the leader's rank. But, you have to be competent or your group will know who is causing them to fail.

PvP is full of jackasses that think they are god when they really suck
just pick up a group of random in game friends and destroy them then laugh when they try to recruit u... it's more fun neway

Actually maintaining a good attitude and joining a guild will prevent one from ever seeing rank discrimination.

Getting groups is all about who you know. If you don't know them from your friends' list then you have to know them from your guild.

The thing I don't like about HA guilds though is they always want to lock me into one role on the team, and have pretty strict schedules because they only want to build one small team and run with those people every day, and I just can't commit to doing HA for so many hours a week every week.

HA has some very stingy players who follow mainstream builds and setups.
The best suggestion I can give to join a small GvG/HA active guild (they will advertise this) and go on from there.
Or you can join IWAY groups, those you can usually join easily.

) and i always have Balthazar Faction in reserve so i can play almost any build you want.

P.S Cant believe I didnt get trolled, maybe that just happens on WoW forums or did I just get lucky?

Yes, trolls only appear in WoW forums, here in Gdubz we are all friendly helpful folks.

The honest truth is if you don't have connections things are going to be difficult. It probably takes a couple months at this point to get networked into HA enough so you can know enough people to get groups often.
