Default Faithful Intervention and RA

Why do 90% of dervishes (real statistic, i count) bring faithful intervention to Random Arenas? especially with the amazing power of armor of sanctity and even the new vow of piety (3 wind spec for +2 regen, 24 armor, and doesnt end?).

is there something enticing about the 2 second cast? or maybe the 20 second recharge?

150 health is not going to be a deal breaker. you could stop probably 500+ damage with sanctity alone, and mysticism makes it almost free.

OR even bring watchful intervention and do something for your team if putting 3 or 4 points in earth prayers is too difficult.

anyone want to defend this skill? i say it should have been buffed with the rest of the skills. a large buff at that.

What type of buff? Seems the only buff to the skill would be to make it heal more than it already does, but then like ANYTHING arenanet does good or bad, you will get a load of Q_Q about "OMG i wanted to kill da dervish but he healed all his health back when faithful intervention ended op op nerf plz"

Dunno. Good observation though... I never really pay attention to anyone in RA anymore. I go in and swing my sword on my warrior or cast with my mesmer and if i die i die, if i win i win.

I personally want to rage when I see a derv in RA, let alone one with a scythe.

2 other classes beat them with it in pvp.

What's even worse is 3 slow activating scythe skills with 5 to keep yourself alive.

Most common bar I see is

[Avatar Of Noob][Victorious Sweep][Twin Moon Sweep][Signet Of Light][Mystic Vigor][Watchful intervention][Faithful Intervention][ress....I mean vital boon]

Don't get me started on Lyssa Daggers. Only decent Derv build to me in RA is blindbot.

As for Faithful Intervention? God knows why they run it; it really doesn't seem that good.

Perhaps it's because it last until it's stripped or when you go under whatever the health amount was.
Other than that I think Watchful Intervention is way better, I don't understand why they don't use that instead.

The reason is obvious, the enchantment stays on you forever to fuel skills that require enchantments without actually having to cast an enchantment.

[[Faithful Intervention] for its long lasting enchantment and fueling of [[Wounding Strike].

Because they feel fine wasting a skill slot if it means they won't have to think.

Faithful intervention is used because they are lazy and clueless, and want simple solutions.

A long time ago I made a detailed comparison of Watchful and Faithful interventions, and Watchful was, by far, the best in every way.

I don't play Dervish anymore, but Watchful in RA was good before, it helped a lot as allied monk anti-spike.

You are partially right about Faithful Intervention having no limitations on duration hence no needs of recast unless stripped. However the main perk to it is that it heals when removed even if you are not <50% whilst Watchful Intervention don't.

People who can't stand upkeeping enchantments, but Faithful Intervention is still crap. Watchful Intervention is a better alternative, you can actually use it again without getting raped when it ends.

to those who said they use it for their ench attacks... what happens when you go under 50%? do you just stop being useful?

why not use an ench that can promote teamwork (aos at least) and self defense? (Armor of Sanctity after the buff, mirage cloak, featherfoot grace, ANYTHING other than faithful... and none of those other than possibly grace really need a decent spec in the attribute)
