They made the wrong call IMO. People only play these arenas because the rewards are so good, and is marginally more entertaining than FFF. JQ is completely busted relying so heavily on dumb NPCs and fast rezzes, Necro Bomber says it all. And FA is inherently imbalanceable due to the assymetrical objectives, and that kurizicks win just for bringing 3+ monks. Really I would delete both and just allow people to enter AB with less than a full team and be randomly paired up (that's how it used to work anyway)

I'm undecided about the removal of anything. The problem with keeping everything seems to be splitting the player base among various formats. I'm pretty sure the waiting times at AB must have increased by a significant margin after the JQ/FA boosts, as part of the AB population seeking the title may have moved to the higher reward areas and thinned out AB.

I'm biased though, as a great fan of Fort Aspenwood, with its easy to go-in and play format - no team making, no waits at all (I play as Luxon, rarely going in as Kurzick for a change). The win/loss ratio seems to average out fine despite its inherently imbalanceable nature/assymetry. I don't win so much it feels like farming, neither lose so much it feels like unfair.

Then again the problem: is it better to have a varied game, with many PvP formats with less players in each, or a few PvP formats with more players in them?

id say it depends on the quality of the players and especially the formats.
only a few, but good formats=ok
a lot but crappy=not ok
