Wait I thought we were talking about TA here... That sounds -JUST- like HA. :P Lets remove it instead.

Things are only ever beyond repair because the live team neglects things for so long and then it gives them solid reason not to care anymore.

Agree completely on HA being gimmicky as well. I guess the only difference is the size of the playerbase of HA vs TA and Anet not caring much about the 50-ish people who play TA on a regular basis.

when talking about degenerate, i think it is the fact that every game in TA is 1W/x 1R/x 1N/x 1Mo/x with an occasional shove spike and RA team since over a year

Top charts of most boring to play against in TA for me
#1 shovespike
#2 1W 1R 1N 1Mo

giving the wiki copycats random cards will force creativity where there is none at least.. the creativity that nightfall and the templates took away

simply changing skills will still result in 1 build being popular and copied all the time, but maybe this is what those 1W1R1N1Mo people want
there can be no more diversity since people come into your team 'paste build pls' 'paste equipment pls'

and the resulted... monotony... won't be cured by skill fixes....
but this monotony is really in both TA and GvG
HA actually has the most variety of builds, but suffers from bad maps and victory conditions (ok, gvg too)

its not some imba skills, its the community / people and arena.net has probably realized it now, forcing creativity because some people will never play anything else than 1W1R1N1Mo or the latest fotm buffs for title grinding

this is sad for those who played merely for the fun of it and liked to make original builds themselves, but we were a minority anyway (and tbh always facing the same teams was boring too, but it is sad that TA must be removed to get them to play something different)

Curse those wiki copycats and their unoriginality.
They should run suboptimal builds like the rest of us and lose gracefully.

You are just the spitting image of what I mean, everyone copies you. Only 2 days after the last monthly was won, Necs using Cultist's Fervor magically appeared in TA. Why? It worked also before you won the monthly with it. But people are dumb or afraid not to grind their precious points. They needed you to show them so they could copy.

And the point is?
As we can very well see from your example, people will never play anything else on their own, because they are afraid not to win (and also will not win, because they have no experience outside of their small horizon of 0815 builds) without an idiot-proven build (but if rawr won the monthly with it, it must work, so then they try it ^^... chickens).
So, players have to be forced to play a variety of builds by giving them randomized decks of cards and removing TA, because it would never happen otherwise.

Cultist Fervor has been used a lot in TA even before the last MAT.

You are plain wrong.

There are plenty of opposite examples, of builds starting to flood in TA 1st and then moving to the other formats.

i'm sorry but you are somewhat wrong... for the most part builds are created for GvG (unless it's for HA since the tactics/builds are much different). You just see them in TA because people test builds in TA before GvG to see it's effectiveness against meta, for the most part atleast. Over all, builds from GvG are played in other formats, or a small variantion of that build.

But yes animate, lots of people copy rawr or other top guilds. why? because they are either new to GvG and don't know how to make builds or are lazy and want someone else to make the meta for them.

Just a fyi, R/A's were not brought to GvG/Ta/HA by rawr. And lower rank players/guilds were using it before August mAT.

I agree with you that since TA objectives can be somehow similar to GvG ones and therefore variation of builds for one format also work in the other one. It's also true (or at least, it was true) that GvG population is bigger than the TA one. However, saying that all the builds in TA have been copied from the GvG ones is still wrong. A good example is the necro bar, which surely developed in TA for TA only purposes.

Smile O yea?

I declare Woody the original creator of the mindblast ele, then Cirque and his [nH] squad found out woody was blowing things up with it and did the dual mb ele in GvG and thats somewhat the beginning of [nH]'s "fame." Many Builds come from TA and go to GvG; and the reverse I suppose. BTW Emuspike is > shovespike! (Wait til you see it in GvG!)

I dont much like punctuation but do enjoy talking about things I neither understand nor participate in I hope you like my opinion guys because both u and I know that debating this and voting and signing and stuff is the only way to send the message to anet support which in total is one person

thanks for being there guild wars guru so that I may vent my frustrations and voice my opinion it is important because I matter

just my 2 cents

This is crazy. Anet killed MoR and nerfed facerollers.

I bet they will root out all TA BS, kill shove spike, EDA and then remove TA

FF/PS is a bigger problem than EDA tbh. Next to shove spike it is the one of the top contenders for being the root cause of the stale meta.
