/signed methinks... TA has been a lot of fun, deleting it does feel like the easy way out. Sealed deck is good fun, but why delete 2 formats to make room for 1 other...

however, while it may not be easy to balance this format while keeping GvG 'interesting' doesnt mean one shouldnt try... lazy

hexes will always be the bane of gw, either too powerful or useless, theres no inbetween with them. Escape should have been changed a long time ago, its a recurring problem, deal with it. junk like EDA, i mean srsly, WHY?

TA is stagnant because of all the junk builds flying around, which wrecks a perfectly functional and enjoyable format.

Good tolerable format. One of the only reasons I even bother playing GW. Sealed Deck does have a lot of potential however.

1) RA spillover that's boring to farm
2) g8/9/10 balanced that can provide good matches, but that you'll probably lose to unless they make mistakes or you build to beat
3) Shit like gothspike, hexway, r/a teams, etc.

So basically, I fully support the Live team deleting TA. Sealed deck 4v4 has the potential to be a lot of fun.
1) Free wins, not complaining
2) You're probably going to lose if you make a mistake anyway, and there's always going to be someone better than you in everything.
3) More Free wins.

My Opinion: I don't understand how people can complain about syncing in RA so much, and anet delete TA instead. If you delete RA, you still have the option of forming a full group with your build of choice, going in with your favorite sync buddy, or even just going in by yourself. It'll still be semi random for the people who just want to go in by themselves, and the people who are serious should be able to beat RA teams.

Taking away TA is promoting syncing, and giving bad players a chance to be good at pvp that requires no skill.

Top guilds play TA. Some good players we're ''made'' in TA.

Keeping TA is a must. It's the best thing in this game.

Deleting TA is a lazy fix. HB is an inherently broken format that cannot be fixed, TA is not. Good players have been pointing out the skill balances need to save TA for a long ass time. (*cough* OP FF/PS necs *cough* )

Another thing anet fails to realize is that a large portion of TA death-syndrome is due to syncing. Syncing allows free gladpoints and TA to be formed in RA, and thus a lot of players who would be TA'ing are instead grinding international districts for glads. Delete syncing, and it is very likely a lot of those players will trudge back to TA.

The only way I would be fine with deleting TA is if sealed deck uses all the TA maps and has similar objectives. If SD will be like Costume brawl ( IE shrine capping without NPC's ) Then TA should be kept.

TA is very dead but it is so easily fixed

Remove syncing so that more teams play Ta.

Get rid of stupid shit like R/A and shovespike.

Addendum: I'd vastly prefer a TA-centric skill balance to the deletion of TA, but I can't see that happening.

It probably will imo, since they want to reuse HB maps for that purpose.

you can't really "fix" ta like you can "fix" gvg or "fix" hb. i mean theres no exploitable tie-breaker in ta and certainly no exploitable hero glitches in ta. the only way to truly fix ta is to balance the broken skills that run rampant in ta. this shouldn't be a problem as many of the broken skills in ta are also broken in other pvp formats to a certain degree.

imo many of the things that caused ta to die are things outside of actual ta gameplay mechanics. theres very little reason to ta, even if you enjoy ta. over the years, ra syncing and hb ladders have stolen much of the spotlight.

personally i think they should re-invent ta by doing the following (among other things):
1) skill balancing (obvious)
2) separate ra and ta
3) either a) new ta title track or b) ta ladders or both even
4) brand new ta-only maps (this one is not really necessary but would be nice)

QFT.

TA is inherently not broken. If TA is broken then so is GVG and HA. It is the skills themselves that are broken not the format.

This is not the case with hero battles. The problems with the maps, hero ai etc etc are all compunded by awful skill balance.

What really enrages me is that they are removing formats but all the things that are ACTUALLY broken like the skills themselves are going to remain.

To be honest I do not think it is possible to be more fail than Anet when it comes to PVP. Ok maybe someone with a ranger/monk secret healer might be worse than Izzy but i just wouldn't be too sure about it.

I don't post that often on guru^^, but TA is where all the fun of GW is imo and removing it would be simply bad.

keep ta but move it back to droknar's forge!!!!!1!!!1

ta hasn't been fun for me in ages, and I was one of the original TA only players from way back in the day...but that said, if it's still fun for others then keep it. That's the cool thing about GW, is that there is something for everyone.
