IMO they need to make codex arena so that teams can only take one copy of each skill. this 4x bonetti's defense or 3x prot defense thing is no fun.

But compared to the EDA wars that have plagued codex metas in the past this is much prefered

however I think I might consider making an exception to warrior skills, as they might become too godly if you can make a decent warrior bar every day
I disagree, sins are much more problematic, warriors are a lot easier to shut down.

Yeah some skills are pretty retarded in this format, however as stated the biggest problem by far is lack of guaranteed skills for certain professions the most obvious being eles with no attunements.

If they were to implement an AT system, skill sets would have to change after each round to keep it competitive as you would only have a short time and 1 shot to make a decent build.

Alot of the trouble with sins is they get fox fangs for free, which is one of the best off-hands in the game now. Either sub something medicore (say jungle strike, only strong if you get some cripple), or let's have a codex-version already at 6r and normal attack speed.

I'd say sins should just get completely random skills, the always inclusion of fox fangs is useless. So what they are useless half the time? It gives room to another class. It's better than being godly 2/3rds of the time.

In general i'd much rather see the restrictions of maximum amount of primary professions and the elite you can take removed. Then instead just make it so you can pick each skill only once. But i suppose that would be hard to code.

Would be fun if there were a codex tournament and at the end of each round have a 5-10 minute wait until next battle and also a new random deck so in that time people will have to quickly make a build. Other than that idk what could help this format.

CA is boring for reasons beyond inherent flaws in the format. The arena player base was hung out to dry by anet for a long time with poor skill buffs that made for bad metas and complete lack of attention. Combined with the age of the game the arena population was pretty much wiped out.

I find this game is only fun in small doses in any format these days, doesn't matter if it's CA, GvG, AB or tombs. They all get equally boring after about an hour. Don't know if that's me being jaded, the game itself or both. Just feels the month of the R/As knocked what little wind was left in the game out, nothing anet could do to redeem themselves after that shit bomb.

Anyway I digress

Well GW is so old they should be thinking about a "final" patch with final skill updates. But they keep wanting to suck money out of this with storage, makeovers etc., rather than working on GW2. The game is stale, none of my RL friends play it anymore so it's not just you. The biggest problem is the game doesn't live up to its name. It's supposed to be about "Guild Wars" yet has the worst implementation of guild mechanics I've ever seen with low player limit and no player history so the only way to verify history is worthless ranks. Not only that but starting to "Guild War" or GvG has tremendous barriers to entry. You either have to make a bunch of friends online, play with real life friends (who might quit the game) or grind ranks. None of this is necessarily a problem; it's just the underlying reason why Guild Wars is stale because it's near impossible for new people to get into it. But I digress too .

Agreed. Which is why i have already moved on. I have never cared for silly titles and i won't start caring now. GW isn't the only game around heh.

A few more skills should be always available, not only the self heal skills that are now, but also energy management skills. Elemental attunements, Power Drain, or even Energy Tap, Divine Spirit, Signet of Devotion... something like that.

It's just very boring esp. as caster if you can hardly activate skills.
