I used to run a daze ranger in RA. It was pretty wicked. Seeking Arrows/Pin Down/BHA. If you can cripple right before dazing while unblockable, its usually qq ... gg for monks. Using a +20% daze mod on a short-bow with the faster cycle rate is perma shutdown.

The main strength of P&H over Word in RA is that you can deal with Daze and all the other silly gimmicks better.

1. -20% daze rune

2. Hide behind walls

3. Good positioning; 1-1.5 aggro circles away from your frontline so if BHA or anything else wants to daze they run the gauntlet also helps dodging BHA

4. Enough HP so you live through short daze, 650 HP is a real tank

5. Turning up graphics very high and timing to cast right after you get hit

6. Carry more 1/2 or less second spells

7. 1-2 stances + mending touch

8. Contemplation of purity combo with patient spirit and holy veil (veil already up, patient spirit and clear)

9. Swap to 23e set, purge signet (free if your e < 17 on 40e set).

10. Plague touch <-- underrated, offensive!

11. Signet of rejuvenation so you have at least a small heal for team when dazed (also good e-manage)

12. Call dazer so your team pressures him (and hopefully kills him)

Well done.

Repeat everything we just said and make it sound more complicated than it is.

Not HP, ARMOR (disciples). Also Purge Signet is bad. I'd go with stances+Mend Touch.

Yea, it's quite bad for people who can't do it.

I totally mentioned to plague touch with your daze hammer on.

But anyway, we already reached the general consensus of what to do.

Dodge it.

Daze set.

Kite.

Remove.

good rangers dont use BHA, they can interrupt and use their elite to do big dommages or spread cripple. As for daze, timing a quick patient inbetween hits can save lives. Kiting can save lives, adn everything everyone already just said. Monking in RA can be hard because you can end up with shitty teammates that don't help you, so it isn't always your fault.

I sometimes play bha ranger for fun, shadowstep, bha, cripple, bleed cover or cripple, bha and then bleed to mix things up and stop dodging. I have on rapid fire so timing patient is harder. Can't get to wall cause they're crippled. Can't get to their nooby teammates cause they've already rushed past the monk's healing range. Sure they can try stances + condition remove, but they have to be quick and I got one question for em, do you feel lucky? Extra fun if a war/sin on my team is training them.
