Default RA warrior self heal question

Ok so for most if not the rest of the PvP formats, warrior self heals are usually a no no.

But in RA when there's a good chance of not getting a monk I find I would like one rather than not.

My question is, which one is worth it?

Lions comfort is already in the best attribute line for PvP, but the one serious issue is the signet recharge for rez signet.

Healing signet, while it doesn't affect your other skills, has - armor and it's in a rarely used attribute meaning you need to drop points in another one to do it.

Which one is worth it when it comes to RA?

Its all based on your bar, but I would just rely on getting a monk because the odds of you getting to 5 wins with no monk is very slim. If your farming Glad points that is.

I would use Lions comfort (wisely) and deal with the Res sig issue if it comes up.

Don't run a self-heal (if you must have defense, Mend/Plague Touch would serve you better). Although [email protected] is pretty damn epic.

No selfheal IMO.
If you don't have a monk you will not go past 2 ~ 3 anyway.
So bring damage, and try to kill them before them kill you. :P

But If I had to chose...Hmmm,Lions comfort is epic.
You just need to know when to use it,and make sure your not the only one with a res sig on your team.

I have no idea why people sit there pinging me whilst using healing signet and repeatedly saying "noob"
If I use tactics, I prefer healing signet, because it heals for more than Lion's Comfort and doesn't disable my res sig.
If I'm running without tactics I'll use Lion's Comfort though.

Like everyone else had said, don't bother bringing a self heal. If you get a monk, it becomes a wasted slot. If you don't get a monk, it still doesn't help enough to help you that much. Instead of wasting a slot on a self heal, bring utility.

No self heal unless you want to run Empathic Removal Axe:

Dismember
Body blow / Ago chop / Exec / Axe rake
Dchop
Bull's strike
Empathic removal
Frenzy
Rush
Res sig

Use zealous, dchop something important is key to build. Save monk from hexes be and l33t.

This build brought to you by six page Guru thread about RA antimelee.

This'd be my selection:

Ether Feast - Mesmer's Inspiration Line; Self-Heal + E-Denial Utility
Shadow Refuge - Assassin's Shadow Arts Line; best regen+self heal available [in my honest opinion]
Pious Restoration - Dervish Wind Prayers; has conditionless self-heal and removes hexes if monk enchants you [at the right time, or with long-lasting enchants like Vigorous Spirit]. You can take a second enchantment to try and remove hexes, but you sacrifice utility for it..

Healing Signet is bad only because of the high cast time and -40 AL downside [when compared to the rest, it blows], but it's viable nonetheless. The above self-heals have 1 second cast times and go a very long way.

I usually go with a major strength rune and roll 10 strength, splitting the rest into whichever self-heal I've elected [to keep shield's armor bonus, factoring in weakness which causes -1 to all attributes]

Lions Comfort, Heal sig, Natural Healing, Shadow Refuge.. All good options depending on your build
I prefer running Lions Comfort, since it boosts Adrenaline and gives decent health/cast. If used correctly, the signet disabling won't be a prob^_^

Cheers

i dont think his serious or maybe he is

id rather not run heals at all and just lose the match [if you happen to give up] and wait for monk, although 66% of them are not decent , maybe 80% since district merge.

but if i had to id just stick to lions comfort / mend touch / antidote signet for utility

I wouldn't really go with a heal, but mending touch is a great support skill. Spending 2s to healsig takes away 1-2 hits, which means you're dealing a lot less damage. Lion's comfort is alright for heal and building adren but like you said you lose the sig. Empathic is great but you pretty much give up your elite, so it's a tradeoff between killing better and staying alive better.

One of the most underrated heals for a warrior is death's charge if you're running hammer. Not only does it give you a nice teleport to knocklock a monk or get away from a dumb melee training you, it gives a pretty huge (near instant) heal. A simple 3 spec gives 92, and if you decide to run 6, you get a 119 heal.

warriors already have insane armor, go 13 strength to get the +20 armor vs elemental insignias. You do not need a self heal, u just need damage damage damage. Defy pain is actually a good skill when not focusing on being an uber tank, it reduces alot of damage, plus lets u use frenzy with little downside. I find it to be a great skill for beginner warriors and also for alliance battles.

I roll an Ether Feast/Coward Axe warrior because you get to keep kd utility, damage, dw, d-chop AND a self-heal?! /WIN

Selfheals are useless, bring an interrupt/knockdown to prevent taking that damage/condition/hex you would normally get.

Iron Palm, Shock, Dblow or any other disruptive skill will help out a lot.

Playing a warrior in RA can be a pain in the ass due to the insane amounts of tab-hex gladfarmers.
My favorite build to farm RA with is the 4kd devhammer with iron palm, which can keep anyone on the ground 24/7. (if played well.)
