Default PvP Sword Build

Hello, i was planning on making a warrior. I wanted to use swords. However, i found that most sword builds in wiki didnt look so good to me. So, i would like to know if there is a good offensive sword build out there. Please let me know. Thanks

What im looking for:

-I posess all of the campaigns.
-I would like a good build (I dont mind if it is W/any)
-Here there are some of the skills that i might consider using: Sever Artery, Gash, Sun and Moon Slash, Dragon Slash (Maybe?), Bull's Strike, Frenzy or Flail, Lion's Comfort.
-I would prefer to use Strenght instead of Tactics (For The Shield), however i might be interested if the build is good.

Thanks!

sever
gash
final thrust
enraging charge
bull's charge
frenzy
savage slash
ressig

Big Domages!!! And you can get your final thrust up really fast with enraging charge
run 14sword/14str with this bar for the 4 adren breakpoint.

otherwise, primal rage or cripslash is good.

I played around with Dev Hammer and Steelfang, what attribute split do you use with Backbreaker? Getting 12 spec in Hammer Mastery (11+1 with Runes) at best gives you 6+1 in Strength assuming you go 12+1+1 in Swordsmanship. To ensure the 4 second Backbreaker when weakened though, you really ought to go 12+1 Hammer Mastery, leaving you 3+1 in Strength.

Just run the bar with Dev hammer, not backbreaker and bulls strike instead of sun and moon slash. That way you get more knockdowns, in addition to weakness (for pro linebacking!), the added mobility that Bulls Strike gives you, and the added DPS that you get from not investing more attribute points into hammer mastery than you have to.

Basically this:
12+1+1 Sword
9+1 Hammer
9+1 Strength
3 Spear Mastery (why not?)

Dev Hammer
Frenzy
Steelfang Slash
Sever Artery
Gash
Rush
Bull's Strike
Res Sig

I prefer

(ressig)
Frenzy
Dismember
Hammer Bash
Agonizing Chop
Enraged Smash
Disrupting Chop (can easily be Wild Blow or some such if you suck at DChop)
Rush/Sprint/Dash

As for swords, I honestly have no idea why people run them. Their selling points are severely overshadowed by both axe and hammer. I guess if you're kind of mediocre at Bull's, Cripslash is okay. Otherwise, the only conceivable reason I can see to run swords is for some kind of buffed Sun&Moon to kill people slow-rolling your pewpew skills with stances.

The "swords are better at pressure" thing is dated. It comes from a time when Dismember was fully as much adrenaline as Gash and swords basically implied a third warrior and Charge on the sword bar, increasing the DPS of the other two dramatically (especially given how dodgy Bull's was).

Because you could run
12+1+1 Sword
12+1 Strength
3+1 Hammer

?

your chain goes

7 normal attacks (not including if you pressure in between spikes by sever -> gashing or if you cancel frenzy with rush, which you should do) -> use dev hammer -> hit something -> use steelfang -> hit something 2 more times -> use dev hammer again -> repeat

which means that about 2 out of every 15 attacks are going to be using your hammer, which is about 14% of your attacks. If you have the option of 14% of your attacks doing a) 10 damage and causing weakness for 9 seconds or B) 50 damage and causing weakness for 15 seconds I know which one I would pick.

also: the difference between 10% armor penetration on sword attacks and 13% armor penetration is pretty negligible, so don't give me any of that BS

Right, weapon mastery 9. Kinda forgot to factor that in. I was going to say 'for a longer Rush', btw.

frenzy, sever, gash, final, savage, coward!, dash, rez is pretty good/fun for a change. all other bars are good though, except i wouldn't bother running conjure x in RA, it's gonna be priority for anyone with ench removal.

  1. sever artery
  2. gash
  3. final thrust
  4. frenzy
  5. resurrection signet [RA] / lion's comfort [any other arena]
  6. rush
  7. savage slash / bull's strike
  8. rage of the ntouka
This is a pretty fun bar and very forgiving. Run 14 strength (ntouka breakpoint).

Disagree on you here regarding Conjure. Not many people bring enchantment removal any more, and those that do seem to save it for the mid/backline. It's often worth losing a utility slot for more damage in RA, since you can't rely on teammates to bring anything reasonably offensive.

I'm confused as to why you would bring Final over Sun and Moon Slash, particularly with Coward. Blocking stances are the meta, so the unblockable helps you both pressure and gain adrenaline more effectively. With Coward, you generally want it charge at almost all times, so you definitely do not want to lose your adrenaline off Final Thrust.

Because when you play with Koreans you have to play STRONG. S&M Slash doesn't cut it.

Anyways,
Frenzy, Rush, Bulls Strike, Severe, Gash, S&M Slash, Hundred Blades, Res Sig
