I would rather see one codex arena that players could enter with any team size (1-4), I believe the original TA worked in a similar way to this. When you lose you would also return the outpost as the team of 4 letting the game take care of a lot of the grouping, which seems to be what turns people off from the format.

format that we already know is fun, popular, and will be easier to support and maintain. Not only that, but because of the random nature of Sealed Deck, it’s a format that has a lot of longevity built into it
These statements are all true. Codex suffered because of terrible implementation coupled with the game's overall rapidly deteriorating playerbase; not because it's fundamentally a bad idea. For reference, note all of the in-house sealed deck that took place before its release.

Codex random would be awful. If people want newbies to be able to play codex, add a freakin' ladder so newbies play newbies! Getting into a guild for codex would be freakin easy, since organizing 4v4 is a piece of cake.

People in RA can have better builds, the people in your codex team you can be on vent with, it can be hard matches but atleast there won't be no opposing team messages for 1 hour (Sealed deck RA sounds a bit stupid to me).

Or just bring TA back... they removed it because only some people could make glad points? well I could make them, just get better at the game and keep trying? jesus... QQ
