You can tell by their class (e.g. N/Mo, Me/Mo etc...)

I do want to say that ofc 90% of the time your right on this 1 but stil.
Lie more, you rly need to stop watching pvx.wikia.com everyday. So you say people are naab based on their profession?
That S*ck you rly need to overthink your tactics on that 1, couz not everybody pvx's their builds. 10% of the people got brains and take their build based on the metagame. You can only say people are bad and that kinda stuf if you watch them play. So their for you just do your job and watchfield so you can see how people play mabye what the run and ofc this is also somthing so you can see if you need to play defensive. but anyway for a starters guide for people to get pvp titles its okeh.

Not all people who make their own builds are good at it. In fact most suck at it. Odds are if someone isn't running wiki odds are they aren't in the 15% (15% of people who make their own builds that is) competent enough to make decent builds.

I translated this as accurately as I could. I did not mean to sound arrogant by writing this although accept that might be how it came across. This is purely describing my thought process when I see not only my own team but the opposition team. I can approximate, based on stereotypes, the skill, build and hence capabilites of my 3 teammates and my opposition.

On top of this I add their guild tag, their armour, what weapons they are holding, whether they have trim, if i know them or recognise their names. From this, using my BRAIN (often forgotten by most GWs and RA players) I deduce how best I should approach this fight, and following the fight what my chances of achieveing glad points is. Depending upon this I decide whether I should stay in the team or not. It is a complex thought process that everyone does to different degrees, and actually we do in real life day to day as well. You make assumptions about anyone that you meet day to day.

This is NOT based on whether their builds is from PvX or not. Although that has a part to play with it, you can run a perfectly decent necro bar with no use of secondary profession skills at all... e.g.
Soul Bind, Faint, IP, Defile defense, Rip enchant, FF, Plague, Res sig.... therefore you could be N/Mo, N/Me, N/E anything.... and often good players will just use these for jokes.... I make assumptions based on the other factors i mentioned above (armour, tag etc....)

As you eloquently phrase it.... you do need to see how people play... however often by the time you realise someone is bad despite being Mo/W they could be dead (2 sup runes, + full radiants). However there were clues before this.... healing staff, PvE armour that looks bad... other stuff. Therefore using these clues u might be able to intervene early.

Now about PvX bars vs Non PvX bar....
Assumption
a) there are a limited number of skill combinations
b) some skills have synergy
c) some skills DO NOT work together
d) Some skills are good
e) some skills are bad

based on those you begin to reduce the number of feasible builds

then factor in utility.... can your bar do more than one thing?
then factor in counters.... can your bar be countered easily....

I <3 necros, and they are a good example... so the hypothetical RA curse necro...

OPed necro skills....

Faintheartness
Insidious Parasite
Foul feast
Plague sending
Res sig

ok.... so thats 5/8 already

What counters are there?
Hex removal.... So we need a cover hex....
- defile defenses (better skill)
- parasitic bond

Holy Veil so weneed enchantment removal
- corrupt enchantment
- rip enchantment

Are there any better skills?
- ??? SS better than IP (personally no but ok....)
- Soul bind >> CE (again imo no but ok....)

HOWEVER if u take those.... u need to remember the other skills u need... cover hex + enchantment removal...

therefore the number of skills remaining are limited....

If there is an abundance of casters and monks... then maybe soul bind ftw....

if its OPed Sin day, then maybe maybe maybe run SS?

If its over hex day.... maybe bring CE and use ur extra skills slot for holy veil instead of shield bash....

YES there are variations but im sorry to say there is no good curses nec build that is not at least based on this template which is ON PVX.

Other classes have more variation but the same truth applies... invariably it will be very hard to dream up a build > than most that are on PvX...

also, you will find its 99.6% of the time that im right :P

lols, and please don't insult me in bad english again, me dont like to confused be by saying what you are!!!!!! seriously

I can spend balth on... uh... Zkey title? Which other ones? I'm grasping at straws here. There is no title for being unlocked. Rare pet is filled by imperial phoenix, just beat Shiro. I suppose you can use balth to level the pet, but that is an underwhelming 9K (or you could just level it, death leveling it takes about an hour afk with just a vamp weapon).

Still going to hit 1mil balth faction from pvp before you get a title from pvp.

I do believe he is talking about the 1 mill gold you save by getting glad rank rather then buying the zaishen title.

I believe I'm talking about the fact that if you are going to PvP for either the glad or the hero title that you are going to get more than 1 mil balth faction before you get enough points on that title tract to meet the requirement.

Also, doing JQ or AB is a good way to get quick Balthazar Faction if you aren't accustomed to playing PvP.

Get some easy balth for easy zkeys.
swap zkeys for ecto
trade mid range minis for profit. move up to higher end stuff if u get enough
trade back req ectos for zkeys to get title
use additional ecto for obs, torment, gold cape invite and pvp ranks

Ok Dr Reverent, im going to spell it out for you once more because your 'special'.
YES YOU CAN BUY THE ZAISHEN TITLE
YES YOU CAN PVP TILL YOU HAVE ENOUGH ZAISHEN KEYS TO USE THEM FOR ZAISHEN TITLE
i have never denied that.....
and at no point did i suggest that you use ur balthazar faction for anything aside from zaishen keys... that was either the voice inside your head or your poor understanding of english grammar or of the language itself.
Lets work out what ya need for the HoM... 6 elite armour sets.... 150k ea, Obsidi armour 1000k, 2 tormentor weps 150k ea, 2 oppressor weps 100k ea, 8 destroyer weps 50k ea (i think thats how many u need, cant be arsed to look it up), 20 odd hero armour remnants at 10k ea, 50 minis at avegare of 10k ea sweet title, party title, each at 2 mil ea so.... we are talking like 7000+k or way more for everything that u need to buy for your hall of monuments....
Now you have 2 options when it comes to the pvp title....
a) buy/earn zaishen keys and use them for z title...

OR... IF YOUR SHORT OF MONEY COS OF THE OTHER 7000+k U NEED FOR UR HOM then....

b) PvP till you have g3 or h6 and ANY KEYS U EARN -> sell them to buy the other stuff

THIS GUIDE IS FOR PEOPLE IN GROUP B!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me you and any other 'special' people who don't quite grasp english understand what it is this thread is trying to achieve?

Lets first work out this thread. This thread is not about how to get a full HoM. It is only about how to get a PvP title. When looking at the PvP title itself, if you are going to PvP for that title, then you will get the balth for the zkey title before you would get any of the other titles. Simple efficiency.

But lets continue on with the 7mil gold argument. If you are going to be spending that much money on your[possessive] HoM, then you're[contraction] going to need a reasonably efficient means of farming gold. Unless you can reliably hold HA for hours, or can regularly win AT's and monthlies, the time spent PvPing compared to the gold gain from selling the zkeys earned is pretty terrible. Raptor farming is many fold more profitable than someone with reasonable success in PvP(much less someone that is brand new, having to learn, and having to network). If you are going the whole HoM route then taking time out of farming gold to go farm the PvP title (even if your sell all of your Zkeys for gold), is going to take longer than just farming the gold to buy the whole shebang. Simple efficiency.

Why do you have a problem with a guide gives some tips to pve ers who want to get their title through pvp while saving the money they make on zkeys? Whats even less fun than RA? Raptor farming for 7mil gold.

After a few hours in RA, raptors look nice.

Really its about efficiency. Either for completion's sake or for just a pvp title's sake it is faster to go for the Zaishen title, whether you farm balth for zkeys or farm gold for zkeys.

Can't you just farm noobs in HA?

I think zkeys are a better option for most PvE players. Alliance Battles, JQ and FA will allow one to build both Zaishen and faction titles simultaneously. This is a much better RoI for most PvE players still needing several more statues.

shouldn't this be put in a pve section, surely the thread's targets don't use the Gladiator's section

What's the point of this thread anyway ? Almost every played got r3 zaishen by a certain way , and people who don't have any pvp title will obviously do zaishen one . End ...

seriously, just go zrank if you dont already know how to pvp

we should also keep in mind that through pvp, (especially gvg and ha) zquests will give you a large amount of money by the time you are r6 hero/r3 champ/r3 glad i estimate around 500k+ for HA, depends on your player skill for champ and glad

also, for RA:

learn to monk, and then monk

all guides on other builds are irrelivent because they will farm glads at a rate of 1/5 the rate of a semi-decent RA pure heal monk

Or conversely if you do know how to PvP and haven't already gotten a title, then go Zkey because its the easiest outlet for the balth faction you are earning.

I suppose there is the rare exception of the GvG tourney player that keeps either playing with or against teams that are just under the champion requirements and can't get champ points to trophy, despite many RP's from tournaments. Thought I imagine that you guys (the two or three that are out there), could at very least grab Zaishen extremely quick, or just don't care enough about the HOM/GW2 thing.
