Forgive me for semi-hijacking this thread, but I'd like to ask the same question for generic 14-10-10 poison Rangers and generic Domination Mesmers, what is the best Insignia to choose from, in terms of GvG (and RA)?

Thanks.

Dom mesmers: Prodigy's
Rangers: for survivability, I'd lean towards Survivor - there's not all that much stance removal right now and the preferred response to a ranger running around is usually a blood necro.

Thanks, could you please also explain why you didn't pick Scout's insignia for a Ranger? It's what I'm running now so yeah... I understand my Apply can get dshot or Shocked, but I never seem to have much problems after some good positioning. Then again, I don't play high level GvG, only low level, so that could probably explain it.

...or a Whirling Axe Shock Warrior.

Your apply won't always be up when you're moving around, for one. Even 8v8, +10 v Physical is more reliable and doesn't give up that much versus +10 under Preparation, considering your inherent high AL v elemental damage.

Even assuming that someone's running a Whirling Axe (which they don't in this meta), he's not going to get anywhere near a Cripshot unassisted.

FWIW: I generally go dreadnaught's then put 13 in str and 14 in axe.

I'd rather have more damage and not have to worry about weakness so much. Frankly if you're getting hit with weakness, I'd think the loss of damage would be the bigger concern for a warrior than losing a little bit of your already high defense. Plus if you consider the source of weakness, if it's a necro, you've got bigger problems.

While in the case of sent's weakness can be used offensively, against a warrior it's biggest threat is as a defensive tool.

should not need radiant, you should be on a zealous axe building up ur adrenaline and maintaining frenzy, switch to a vamp or elemental depending on whatever to spike

You run radiants for the extra shock, not because the bar needs more energy to frenzy.

Also, why are you lowering your DPS by camping your zealous set all game? You can easily just swap to your zealous set when you need the energy.

Even if they can, a cheap 4adren skill still can't compete with a 12 sec recharge on nat stride. It would either take large support on the warrior (2v1) or extremely poor play on the ranger for that to even matter.
