Stop complaining about random pve crap noone cares about, or at leasr do it in the subforum.

Burst is just lolhealing now.
The rest seems pretty insignificant, perhaps except for Invoke which I really dont see how they could buff.

The minor buff to melshot does not really warrant its use over crip shot. I can hardly tell the difference between 10 and 12second recharge. 10seconds is pretty bad for movement control and 8seconds will make it a strong spike skill.
IMO kick the +damage and make recharge like 7seconds. That way it cant work as a spike/movement control/split build but rather movement control like it was intended to.

overkill on sin nerf

cripshot still better then Mel

healing burst... Pzzzz

overall, I hope we see more spike/split in the meta instead of these push flag builds

what really needs to happen is monk nerf. I'd love to see boonprots. Then defense may become viable again.

This is what has annoyed me the most with the buff / nerf game over the years.

They buffed all those dagger attacks to ridiculous levels trying to force some sort of sin build into the GvG meta. It created a whole slew of gimmick builds in HA and arenas that nobody liked. Then, rather than simply admit it was a bad idea there are seemingly random small nerfs that don't address the issue every 3 to 6 months Then finally, well over a year later there's a huge nerf. What the hell was accomplished?

Need better focused updates for HA, especially brutal weapon must die. As for the rest, the nerfs in the update were subtle, and I kinda liked that. Healing burst buff helped HA, kinda liked that too. Invoke doesn't bother me that much actually.

Cripshot was just retarded, overjoyed that it was nerfed, patient spirit was retarded asw, also overjoyed it got nerfed.

Subtle changes are the way to go when the populace at large is pretty much happy with where the game stands. I'm a little out of the loop, so this may no longer be true, but I feel like people want game balance to go in a different direction entirely, and for that large-scale changes are necessary. The problem we currently have with large-scale changes is that the vast majority of them have pushed the game in the wrong direction.

This is what a decent-sized portion of the populace wanted. Do you not remember the months if not years of people complaining about pressure being dead and the defensive spike metagame being incredibly boring? Which isn't to say the metagame should be exclusively pressure-oriented, but now that we have a recent working example of a pressure-dominant metagame, it's easier to conceptualize what some kind of equilibrium might look without a complete overhaul, and that at least seems like a step in the right direction.

Boonprots were incredibly susceptible to pressure by nature. They were just super versatile and very good against spikes. I don't understand where you're going with this at all.

what im trying to say is, the ccore problem with the meta is monks are too good. gw was alot more fun pre woh buff. reimplementing boonprot builds and nerfing woh would make build varaiety more viable. teams would be forced to take defence (unless they are cow). since boonprots are so good vs spike, it would promote more teamwork(shutting down monks on spike) to get kills. or teams could play split. variety breeds goood meta.

im not saying it has to be boonprots, just make patient/woh/healingburst on par with orizon, healing light, and other skills.

i've played monk for like 5 years now and impressed how stupid your statemen is.

I just quote demigod's words for you. he talks about barbed necro but it shows how powerfull dmg and pressure nowadays compare to heal and party heal.

Quote:
Physicals are extremely powerful now, for two reasons. First reason being that almost all partywide and single target physical hate has been nerfed, second reason being they are the absolute hands down best way to get lord damage with the current blind clause that is in place.
if anet will nerf heal again shit will die same as after mind wrack + surge buff. Matches will last for 2-3 min.

In the other side i have to agree with you about boon prot's fun. They are so easy to play. Even WoH template is much harder to play that boon prot's.

rof rof rof rof rof rof rof oob rof rof rof rof recast of divine boon oob rof rof rof prot spirit rof rof rof. get fun!

thats not quite true. unlike patient, rof cannot be used to heal up targets on lets say 70% in same manner as patient is used (or if rof is used like that you will run out of energy VERY fast) - rof (followed up by guardian) has to be spammed on whatever targets are pressured or bashed on by some melee, so it takes a great deal more field observation and awareness than a patient does (admittedly, patient should be used like that too, but it can also be used to simply heal up a 70-80% hp target that is currently not pressured, which is where i go back on corporeal's post correctly stating that boons are not the best option for pressure).

i am not talking about their utility just say boon prots are much easier to play. Maybe in theory it looks harder and requies more skill but in practice it was i mentioned in the prev post.

You can watch any prof gvg video from ego's channel for proof.

I see that most people here want a nerf to bbsway. Yet, I disagree. I do not think it is much better than other gimmick, for example wota + esurge team. Indeed, more people is playing wota, because it is much easier. Bbsway, at least, is not easy to play, and have many counters, shutting down the rit is almost every time a victory. Pugging bbsway is difficult, not many people play bbsway, and r6 bbsway can not play it properly. It becomes very good only with r9+ players, that know what to do and how to move and how to lineback. While even r6 wota can be played without big efforts.
I played both gimmicks, but I found bbsway at least fun to play, you actually have a tactics to follow. And, moreover, that esurge mesmer make the monk a awful character to play, as you have to deal badly with energy management.
If anything, next skill updtate for HA should kill the esurge mesmer.

Loltombs, noone cares etc.

Just have to mention that it's laughable to even mention a 5 man defensive build, a simple weaponswap gimmick and the word difficult in the same sentence and expect to not have everyone think of it as sarcasm.

Kinda funny that people seem to know what and whatnot I care about, telepathic much? People want a game with good quality to it, what use are other formats then gvg when theyre not properly cared for? might asw delete HA and RA and AB when some people can help it.

Unfortunately HA and AB (yeah AB, some people play that) are in a way worse state then gvg atm.

Nice theory. But it does not explain a fact: why are there more wota than bbswayers?
By the way, a theory that does not explain facts is not a good theory.

I really dont like how Anet just nerf 1build to oblivion while making another new build so OPed. While I do like the barbed signet new functionality compared to before. I really hate that there is no other team builds that is just as good as triple melee. GW wouldve been more fun if there was more build diversity and more viable "good" builds.

completely agree... when I started doing HA seriously there was more variety. Balanced, Blood spike, SF, SH, rspike, hexway, Iway, spiritway...

All the spike have been nerfed, to the extent that only balanced, hexways and spiritway were playable. Then hexways disappeared, and SV trashway appeared, for being nerfed in a couple of month. Now that only bbsway is playable, it made disappear balanced, and only 3 teams are decent now, bbsway, wota, and fragspike. Without nerfing too much the various spike team, bbsway would not be this strong, and also wota would have harder times.
