This is a thank you, and my own personal heart-warmer.

Directed at 2 warriors, and later, a sin too.

These guys joined our RA team that WAS 2x ele, me as rit and a prot monk.
One ele was one win behind and I was 2 wins behind. Monk and one ele left at 25, counter continued, we got 2 x warriors, didn't look good.

The opposing team had no heals, and we won, awesome for ele who got 25 then, and left in time for me to continue.

Next a sin joins the team, so we got 3 melee, no heals or anything other than my nightmare weapon (which isn't much) to help my attacker friends.

The other team have a monk, mes, war and something I can't remember.

One of my wars tells our sin to "Get Cool, our rit's on for 25"
Sin replies: "Word"

All 3 melee try their absolute best and one war goes down on our side, then the other, then their mes dies we both rez up and suddenly there's only 3 on their side, then we win!

Woot!

These 3 players were not in sync guilds, they're too good to sync, and they helped a fellow, playing an unpopular profession who they don't know.
I PM ed them after to say thankyou, and one cheeky monkey said
"that'll be 20 shards "
So I gave him the 2 I had lying around doing nothing.

TL: DR 3 awesome non-syncing players trying their hardest to help out made my day, gave me a fuzzy warm feeling inside and showed why RA can be so good. Sometimes.

I actually thought it was a pretty cool story. Its rare to find people in RA these days who aren't elitist assholes.

Nothing, you just don't hear too many good things about RA or PvP in general.

I agree. That's awesome dude. That's the biggest reason why I don't pvp anymore because people can be elitist d-bags and I usually play a monk and the first sign of failure it's automatically my fault. Hearing stories like this makes me excited and happy that I might give pvp another chance.

Ooow Karla, you're such a pessimist! I know you seem to have bad luck a lot of the time (from the teams I've seen you in recently, 2 monks etc) but sometimes RA surprises you in a good way.

I did rejoice actually, and felt moved to post, so they might read this and see their names.

The prot monk I had for first 23 wins said something similar, after I complimented him/her in keeping us flawless when against 2 earth eles, a grenth derv and monk combo.

Said he/she had nothing but name calling since starting playing , noob, back to pve, the usual clichés. If I'm honest, he/she was the best prot monk I've ever seen in RA, did not seem to suffer with lack of redbar bumping as most prots in RA do.

Well, this is a cool story bro indeed. But as I did get a good feeling from reading it I will let my usual salty replies have a break and share another story with you guys in the spirit of praising others.

I was in RA playing r/p or some other non-pro combination and Trojan the guy from qqforums ends up on my team. You know the guy who talks like a brotha and seems like a complete twat. Another player on our no-monk team starts clicking my name followed by the usual "leave now noob" etc. I was quite anxious to see if the other 2 would join in on the witchhunt or just leave the doomed no-monk party so I didn't leave. Surprisingly Trojan speaks up for me telling the other guy(more pro than me, right profession, emote, good-looking equipment etc.) to stuff it and that all that's needed is to play well and we'll win. (Obviously not quite true, but it's the attitude I like) The other guy kept yapping and Trojan kept putting him in his place. This didn't go 25 wins or even near it but I remember it because it was a case of someone siding with the "weaker" against his own self-interest. So here, Trojan, is your well-deserved shout out from a random RA scrub. Peace.

Cool story. People who sync in RA are pathetic!!! Syncers are poor sports win or lose. Its like they get to play TA while everyone else gets RA. Some, win or lose will call you newb or say your lowrank. I call syncing cheating but they dont see it that way. Syncers will emote over dead players or say" /flex , im g10 Bitc!!!! now what?" i remember one time i had a random group and i was healing rit. we beat a team of 4 players in the envy guild and the mes had vengeance and was res'g alot. anyway we flawlessed them. i felt very good afterwards. that game should've counted for 100 points alone LOL.

Default RA Awesomeness

After reading the top article I dusted off my PvP shoes and played a great round of 25 consecutive wins with some random people. I encountered bad sportsmanship and great sportsmanship today. I am overly pleased with the great people and the awesome experience I had playing today.

Well, if we are sharing stories, I got a team with me (mes), another mes, a monk, and an onslaught derv. We crushed the first 10 rounds, then the derv had to leave, we then got a pressure necro, and won 5 rounds with him before we told him to leave to speed it up. He ended up on our team again and we won 5 more.

Nice. But I think you misread the thread title "in the best spirit of random arenas".
