Angry Bots in JQ - An invitation to break the EULA?

Being sick and tired of reporting bots in JQ and seeing this having no effect on the presence of innumerable bots in games, I ask anyone from A-Net:

Is the fact that you have failed miserably to remove bots from JQ (and who knows what other PvP formats) despite repeated submission of botting reports an invitation to all of us to break the EULA without repercussion?

If not, then how do you explain your pathetic level of service? It is incredibly easy to identify the bots in any round of JQ and if you spent even just one day observing the games and banning those which you could identify as bots, then it would make a huge difference to the quality of the real human players' gameplay experience in JQ.

I have to say that it makes me reluctant to consider buying GW2 if I can't be confident that I will not be faced with the same endless bot-infested games on that platform. I expect that there are plenty more people out there with the same opinion too; your lack of action now may damage your reputation and affect future purchases.

Have you actually
1) Reported said characters
2) Tracked said characters in order to verify that they are bots.
3) Made sure said character have not been banned?

Keep in mind that ArenaNet must have 100% proof that someone is botting in order to actually ban them.

they dont use /report much anymore. send a ticket with a full accurate name to
[email protected] with a subject line - Violation:Botter

in the message describe the name of the character, whats going on in detail.
if u have any pictures attach them as multiple attachments, and make sure if any other botters are there, include their names in the same email; 2 birds (or however many bots screenshotted),one stone. they usually respond with a "player account terminated etc" and they are fast. relying on the cheap /report feature isnt as good as it once was.

Support will not aid you in the quest to get rid of the bots I have submitted fraps videos screen shots etc after watching several bots with the same type of name minus a letter or 2.

Bots are earning Anet cash as they are buying accounts playing yes playing while using bots still is money in there pocket for each account bought

This means its in Anet's interest that they keep banning bots... otherwise the bot-users dont need to buy any new accounts.

---

I do report many bots... strange thing is that when i report farming bots i do recive an answer that they have been removed from the game. When i try to do the same with cheating-bots they i never hear a thing again.

Noticing a farming-bot is easier as they often move unnatural and in a ceratin partern. And you only can see them when they are still in a town or outpost, so you have enough time to study them.

When playing a PvP variant you are busy playing. When something strange happens it is often hard to study the conditions/reasons why things happen:
* I have seen "players" that healed themselves every 2 seconds... even when they were full health (to me that is at least suspicious behavior but it doesnt prove much).
* I have been interupted with every skill i tried to activate, without my only opponent doing anything (no hexes/etc on me, no skill activation, no enemy npc close, etc). How do you check if your opponent is cheating when you cant see a thing?

IMO there are a lot of cheaters out there, but i guess the current cheats are a lot better than they used to be and that makes it a lot harder to give "full prove" to anet... all i can do is to send anet a lousy screenshot (i cant use fraps), a name, a time, a location and then hope that anet can do something about it.

Reporting leechers should be easier but i doubt anet does anything with the info i send them (and most "real players" seem to refuse to /report them, probably because they gave up on that).

Most don't buy their accounts from A.Net.

Depends on the type of bot. JQ bots are mainly hacked accounts (poor scotty ) but most other farm bots are new accounts bought from anet.

That's rather interesting...I saw a friend online , hadn't seem him for like 3 years.. He wasn't really answering, but luckily i found him standing in codex arena in a team of 4 players( all in the same guild). None was moving , nor answering me... After 2 days of this and reading this , i think i understood that his account was just hacked...

But i don't really get this, so it's a few guys hacking accounts and selling those to other players or ..?

They are in the same boat as another game company "Cipsoft", the creators of Tibia. While the game is ridden with bots, they are essentially the games biggest customers. Premium accounts in tibia are about 60$/year. They are aware of the problem, and have even started banning up to 7000 accounts per month. But in reality, they want to milk this as much as they can. I'm not saying A.Net is up to the same stuff, but there is always more the MAKERS of the game can do to prevent these things.

So are we all permitted to do it now or not?

It's a 'nice guys come last' sort of situation.
