if an ele runs up to you wait for it to stop moving and then run. Also if you see it casting haul ass outa there to at least avoid blind. But blind also applies on top so that helps if you have like mending touch or a 1 condi removal on a monk.

But I agree Shockwave is OP. We ran a team of 4 shockwaves in HA last night and held for a while by just running into balls and spamming on recharge. twas and is very OP.

While it is sometimes possible to pre-kite from the ele running toward you, I agree that this skill is OP. It could use a change in cast time to 1.5 or 2 seconds.

I don't know what else needs to be done with it. 3 conditions seems a bit much... Or perhaps drop the damage packets slightly?

Stoning could also use an increase in recharge to 7 seconds.

No skill does that on average, and not even Shockwave.

On Average, Shockwave will be doing around 60 damage only, because most players have enough brains to move away from an elly thats chasing them, and even monks have much more than 60 AR in RA.

Bad players, and I mean really really bad players will get hit for the full damage, because for some reason to them, meleeing a Shockwave elly, which most likely also has Armor of Earth seems like a cool idea. Its not, move to a different target and keep your distance for the elly.

Shockwave only does 150 ish damage on AR 60 targets. You want to know a skill that does almost twice that much? Its called Lava Font.

I take Lava Font into RA on my Mind Burn bar despite all the 'lol noob, crap elly' comments I keep on getting, yet its surpising to see that when melees decide to target me, and see me spend 2s to cast lava font, they just stand there and carry on trying to kill me over the full 5 seconds, over which they wont have only taken the full damage from Lava Font, but Mind Burn, Liquid Flame, Fireball and Glowing Gaze on top.

You know how much damage that adds up to over a 3-4 second spike? So much that most warriors drop dead, and sins .... well lol, they just blow up almost instantly.

Lack of melee competence = killed by a PBAOE elly.

So by your reasoning a melee must keep a constant eye on any ele in battle and forget about anything else going on that might also be a problem? Just so in the longrun IF that ele turns out to be a SW they can run away from it ANYTIME it trys to get close for fear of beeing blinded? Am i seeing this right?

What you're saying here is... someone will move away from a Shockwave, but will not move away from a Lava Font? That doesn't really make a lot of sense.

No, I'm saying that the problem is the same regarding the validity of both skills.

People are telling me 'lol lava font is a noob skill', why exactly? It works for the exact same reason that shockwave does, because most players are dumb.

A better comparison would be Inferno, just as powerful as shockwave minus the conditions. Shockwave however is meant to be an elite skill, inferno isnt.

People who think shockwave is OP are the same bad players that simply stand still in a lava font, dont blame the skill due to your lack of competence.

Just about any skill is OP when multiplied. If you want something even more OP than Shockwave in HA, run a Mind Burn spike. In RA a single Shockwave ele isnt as strong as people think it is.

Agree. It even works well on non-Ele primaries.
